    I like that he said with speakers behind the acoustically transparent screens, there's going to be some impact @7:45

    Very beautiful theater. I’m glad he mentioned getting rid of that ugly projector box because that was the only thing I hated about the room.

    Dennis Erskine really doesn't want to be there, jeez. he's such a downer.

      Yes we should all be comedians and clowns about our business.

    • @itsneight1260
      @itsneight1260 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@strobe9 - there's a big difference between being a comedian/clown versus just being normal and having a conversation. Dennis was a DICK in this video. If he didn't want to be there he shouldn't have been on camera.

    • @strobe9
      @strobe9 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@itsneight1260 I don't know what his "normal" is like to say that he was being a dick. Maybe you do. He's old. Leave him be.

    Due respect, I thought this was to show off DIY systems from AVS members. He just hired someone to do it. He had a check book.

    I love to see the side and rear speakers but not the front. I do love to see front floor standing speakers when the setup is mainly for music and less important viewing but in the case of dedicated home cinema I prefer the speaker free look at the front.

    I remember when Dolby 5.1 and home cinema really became a mainsteam opportunity which really coinsided with Jarrasic Park was released which as far as I understand was really the first movie to take full advantage of Dolby sound. Dolby Atmos, home and commercial cinema sound for that matter has come SO far in quite a short amount of time. Sadly I am in the same situation as these guys for internet wise, sadly I cant stream greater than 720p.

    I'm currently trying to research movie screens, and projectors. I'm wanting to buy a 4K Projector for $2,500. If not then I'll go with a 1080p 300 inch projector or even 200 inch screen protector. The screens I'm currently looking at are the Stewart Cima 150 inch screen and a guy who builds theater screens called Immerse 4K Cinema Screens.

    • @betitos007
      @betitos007 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steve Vestel - - Hey buddy i hope im not too late telling you this. The immerse 4k guy you mentioned, is that Keneth Byrd the guy here on TH-cam that makes videos out of his basement? If it is please be careful buying from him. Apparently his screens and paints are very low quality and he never responds or refunds unhappy customers and I've never been able to find any happy customers who have bought from him. Also he has been kicked out of avs forums in the past. Do your research with his name and be careful. If you want to build a screen and paint it lookup "Crow1176" on youtube. He has very good paint mixes at very low prices. Don't get scammed.

    • @vestel777
      @vestel777 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @HJ-yg4lc
      @HJ-yg4lc 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      To have good picture quality on a 300 inch screen,you'll need at least 4000 lumen,it's hard to find a good one in the price range as I know. My English is pretty basic, please don't mind.

    11:57 .... Having lived in the country, it could take a month to download even 25 gigs, not to mention corrupted/failed downloads lol. So a Kaleidoscope system is far from ideal as it will dominate his network while it's on haha. His best bet is to do a media server and rip the discs. That's what I did when I lived in the country.
