I think he thought when he announced the coup on the radio Doe will maybe run away and leave Liberia but he was wrong and he was not smart enough to take down Doe .how could you announce the coup when you didn’t capture Doe that was not a smart move .
Thomas Q was the cause of the deaths of many Nimba county citizens because of this predicament on his part. He confused the people and they were celebrating in the streets of Monrovia, thinking that the son of Nimba has become president which every county could do as well, not knowing Doe is still in power. I also blame Doe for killing those poor people, he should have dealt with Thomas Q and leave the poor citizens of Nimba alone.
