Dash Cam - Road Fails UK. Round Two

  • A further selection of Dash Cam clips from my journey's through the Shropshire Countryside (UK). Road Fails UK.
    This will probably be my last road fails video as I got rid of the Audi A4 and purchased a Mercedes Estate. I've owned the Mercedes for 12 Months now and I haven't had a single car pull out on me or captured anything else worthy. Maybe it's because my new car is White and the Audi was Black, or a Brand thing? Who knows.

      I was thinking about that when putting the vid together. In the A4 I drove a bit faster as it handled really well (better on corners etc). Because it was a manual, I could also pull out etc better/quicker. In the Merc, it takes a bit to get going because of the auto gears and I do drive it much slower. I sort of cruise more in the Merc so yea, there may be something in that.

      Very frustrating though especially as there's always a huge tractor in front of it. The road is 20 miles long and if you get behind it at the start, you may as well go help a farmer with the milking. They never pull over.

    • @markwright3161
      @markwright3161 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agree with you on that. I personally would pull over when I get the chance, especially if traffic can't overtake, but I guess that's irrelevant as I wasn't behind the wheel of this. :) There are some good farmers out there, it's just unfortunate you get more acquainted with the ones who don't pull over.

      I agree, there are some great farmers. On my commute I go past probably 8 or 9 farms. This is the only vehicle I every really had an issue with. Sometimes I'm driving up that road and a farmer will be holding up traffic with a bit of string across the road to let his cows over. I always get out and have a chat as he has around 900 of them and it takes about 20 minutes. Lovely farmer, lovely cows and I love talking to him. Makes my day.

At least here, as long as you have a temporary permit and a "warning/caution" sign on the back, you can legally use public roads (occasionally). It seems this farmer is a regular offender. And yes I agree there does seem to be a license plate bracket there. Ours are slightly different shaped and it didnt occur to me that was what that was.
