Kita might just hold the record for the shortest amount of time between his introduction and him becoming one of the most loved character in the series, and your reaction was a yet another testament to that x) Funnily enough, the author mentioned in the interview that Kita ended up being a far more complex and important character than they originally intended - baffles me how a character this good happened ~by accident~, but I'm grateful lol. We all wish we were more like Kita. His name is actually "north" (Kita) and "faith, truth" (Shin) + "shell, caregiving, mediating" (suke). This shin (信) is a rather typical compound of names; the one for death (shi) almost certainly wouldn't be used in names, cause that's pretty much asking for bad luck (but the sound is similar to many other kanji, so there's that). Also got curious at Tanaka's like about Tsukki, and it's not quite "he slays" lol, Tanaka just calls him a "professional" or someone very dedicated (to constantly poking fun at others).
Yeah that name thing makes sense, I guess I was thinking of his name as a character but somehow didn’t consider it as an actual name for a real person lol. Wouldn’t make much sense to essentially name you’re baby boy “Deathson” lmao
Personally i love Inarizaki coach (Norimune Kurosu) decision in making Kita the captain of the team. Sometimes we tend to forget that this player with crazy skill is still a high school student with emotion that not entirely stable or mature enough. It made sense he choose what he see as the most mature player in his team as the captain instead the best players. In that regard, the captain can act as role model for other player while rewarding student who has good character like Kita, not just good result. Kita background story not only establish him as one of the best character in the series, but also Inarizaki coach as one the best in term of coaching style.
"Don't do things you don't do in practice." I really like that advice from Kita. And it bears out by the end of this match. If you can do it during practice, you should be able to do it in a match. And in order to pull it out at any given circumstance, you should have practiced for it. Of course there is always room for adjustment and improvisation, but skill is honed in deliberate practice.
Love how Kita with limited screen time gave one of the greatest life lesson. Not just for sport but life in general. His reaction after his routine gets paid off is perfect
Shinsuke is a great character and liked his backstory of how he is and how he can impact the match in the future also 12:05 love this i bet it looks dope on the manga.
when i saw kita crying i really said out loud 'karasuno you all gotta lose' lmfao 😭😭😭 absolutely one of the best characters in the entire manga and Inarizaki is my second favorite school after Seijoh
I love Kita! I love his humanity! He's so mature that he doesn't look like a high school student🥹Umeboshi is really cute because it feels like a grandma's child! In Japan, the fox at the Inarizaki shrine is considered a god! Or God's messenger. There are various theories! I enjoyed your reaction today as well (*^^*) Also, there are rumors that Haikyuu Season 5 is in the works. Just a rumor... but I'm really looking forward to it☺️ By the way, the details of Chainsaw Man will also be announced!Wakuwaku! Sorry for the translator! (Additional note) Corona is all the rage among production companies and voice actors, so I would like to wait even if it takes time 🥹
HOLY SHIT WE SAW! Your big pledge showed up on the last quarry stream lol (at the end outro segment of part 3) Thanks so much for the huge support! Seriously thank you! And make sure you join the discord through patreon
"true, extend, new, heart, belief, progress, humility, advance, gentleman", those are the meanings to someone whos given name is shin. Also it is used to name a god, a specific type of god.
I've been waiting for this ep since u guys started S4. Kita easily became one of my faves after watching this ep too. His character is very refreshing and new as an otaku. Complex but relatable in some instances. A well-written character indeed! One of my inspiration irl. I love him sm. 🥹
Thank you for the reaction! Kita's way of thinking is so admirable and this episode always make me cry when watching him crying. Such a mature boy so that hit me more when he's emotional. The scene with Aran was also touching. Btw, 'Shin' in Kita's first name 'Shinsuke' means believe/faith/trust/truth.
Anime actually cut out a lot of narration and explaining stuffs. In manga, all these spring tournament's matches was very heavily with analyzing texts.
Knowing the rules and tactics allows the audience to understand how amazing, difficult, impressive, etc. the "action" is. Otherwise you'd be surprised or confused. We need setup like this to give context to the hype moments
Actually, season 4 quite heavily cuts viewer reactions. There is another couple who watch and comment in the manga. Also, the ED which features various old opponents from other teams is actually from the manga in which we get quite a lot of those guys thoughts and comments on the action.
Kita is the type that make everyone in the class envy becos all bout him seems so perfect, while he really an ordinary boy that live his life earnestly and with discipline..
"Shin" definitely don't means death which is pronounced "Shi". "Shin" can mean a number of things depending on the kanji used such as "new", "god", "true", "essence" or "heart". In Shinsuke's case though the kanji is 信 meaning "trust" or "faith".
Indeed, numerous kanji have the same reading which are usually deduced from context. As given names are kanji out the context of a sentence you need the written form to know the meaning, which is why Japanese people sometime introduce themselves by name and add "written as in" with an adequate word to specify which kanji is making their name.
@@BOLDcast oh sorry... by the way, Season 5 is coming guys... but don't get intrigued too much what Season 5 is all about so you guys remain unsullied ^^,

Kita Shinsuke is like Tendou. A fandom favorite that's from an "enemy" team.

It really is impressive how quickly Kita became one of my favorite characters.

Actually with this particular Kanji it mean "trust/faith" specifically. The other meanings you mentioned stem from other kanji with the same reading.

Kita is the perfect asian child🥲💕

Hi, just wondering why is the video kind of transparent

@@BOLDcast woah you replied!! Thanks guys great reaction as always
Plus one on Ao Ashi

Don't try to guess the meaning of japanese names without knowing its kanji. It's pointless.

fans fault for hyping too much about Shinsuke... see? Carl looks forced to like him
We recorded these weeks before I ever heard about his character from the comments.
We don’t fake reactions here
