I made a temp blanket for where I live in Ireland, but the temps here pretty much only range from 40 to 65; not enough range! But I am planning to make one after I move back to Michigan. Plenty of temp range there…😊 10:00
I started my temperatue blanket on January 1st. I am using leftovers and scraps and I hold it together with some undyed yarn. I use the Bits and Bobs blanket by Kay Jones of the Bakery Bears. I have a TH-cam channel about knitting, crochet, spinning and sometimes sewing too. You are welcome to check out my plans and the progress. I will record another episode tomorrow and that will go up the day after, probably. Just be careful to pick the English video, as Dutch would be kind of a challenge, maybe. I clicked subscribe and a thumbs up. Thank you for your lovely vlog.
Quick suggestion add stitch markers o the corners especially with the linen stitch easy to move the corners otherwise and much easier as you get further out in your square I am doing a temp blanket in Australia so I have started with the hot colours mine is in rows so will be interested to see how yours looks. Have fun
FYI I discovered too late for me to use on my blanket but on Etsy you can order a tag specifically for temperature blankets. It’ll allowed you to sew on your colors for the temps. Then you can sew your tag on
Ive been wanting to add labels to my work so they remember where it came from but I didnt want normal ones, WELL, I found some that say, "Made with love, cursing, three trips to the craft store, and too much wine lol" I really love the colors Jenny choose and the order you all put them in, its going to be super pretty. Update, I just saw the first one you did and I love those colors together!!!! Great job Jenny, now I want those colors lol
Long time viewer since you started your other channel! I love that you are doing some fiber arts. I am crocheting a baby blanket in white that is the basket stitch worked diagonally. Look forward to seeing your creations!
I really like the colors Jenny chose; your blanket will be beautiful. Will you be making a Ravelry group? Then everyone could post their project pictures there! I'm not doing a temperature project this year- but I will be making a moss stitch cardigan- have to finish this cabled cardi that I'm working on before I start another sweater though 😂. So happy to folllow along with you on your blanket.
I do too many projects in a year to relax me after working n taking care of my Mom I working on a blanket with the new red heart flower power yarn I already made a blanket with the granny square yarn I never did the pattern you are working on so Im anxious to see how it turns out Thanks for sharing Theresa
I had never heard of a temperature blanket. How interesting! Also congratulations on your additional subscribers! When I clicked the subscribe button , you had 141!
beautiful colors! I have thought about a temperature blanket or scarf over the years but have never done one! If I can stash dive and have enough I might do it. I am StampingJoan on Ravelry. (added you as a friend)
I live in Tucson Arizona in the Sonoran desert. I wouldn't need the cold colors. We can dip into the 30s at night in the coldest part of the year, but it doesn't stay during the day. This last week we have been in the mid 70s. I'm curious how blankets from different parts of the country would compare in color 😊
@@FlyingPigKnits That is going to turn out gorgeous. I had zero plans to do a temp blanket but now I do so I am going to try and find colors today in my stash and follow along, thank you for the inspiration

What a fun idea! I love the colors Jenny chose.
I was always sad when you said you used to crochet. Glad to see your new channel.
Love this idea! I’m not a crafter, so I’ll just be watching your progress 😄
Great start cant wait to see how each month turns out.

I'll be sure and check out your channel - thank you!
I am working on a hat, and I need to finish a sweater I started last year.

Thank you for that suggestion! I have inadvertently made a pentagon on day 2 lol

That's a neat idea!
In Phx, the blanket would be orange & red with the high temperatures. 😂
I used to live in Arizona- I can totally picture that lol
Now wait, we did get into the 40s last night & it is only 57 right now & I’m freezing 🥶 brrrrrr. Where’s my long John’s?. 🥶🥶
That's how my scarf turned out when I lived in Mesa.
I can't wait to see the finished project. Your daughter has a great eye. 😊
I think so too - thank you for the compliment!

Thank you for the compliment on the colors! And those labels are hilarious 😂

Baby blankets are the best!

I didn't think of starting a Ravelry group - that would be a fun idea - thank you for following along!
I had my son layout my quilt blocks. He took a lot of art in high school.
Congrats on your new site

I want to do a grannysquare that matched the covers of books I read in a year! I am moving this year though so I don't think it will happen in 2025
That's a cool idea!
I’ve seen similar stuff to this, but with books on the Becca And The Books Channel

Hi Dagny,
I would love to see you do one blanket for Pennsylvania and Maine! It would be fun to see the differences! --Birdy
I thought about doing one day for PA and one day for ME on this blanket but am sticking with just PA - next year maybe I'll do separate blankets 😁

I used to live in Tucson!
I grew up in AZ you should do a day and night temp blanket. That would be cool
I just ordered my 11 skeins. Where do I get the pattern?
It is free on her website or on Ravelry - the link in the description will send you to her channel where you can find it.
Just found your channel. Where are you located? I’m in CT. I am a crocheter. I am trying to learn knitting. 💜
I am in Pennsylvania 😀
So will you be doing squares for each month or one giant square?
It will be 12 large squares, each square representing a different month.
