Lovely work on this one buddy, well done! I can not believe the masterful restoration job you've managed to do on the box. You're an absolute wizard, it looks so much better than the awful treatment that dreadful seller gave it!! 👏🏻👏🏻 Cracking boxed Master System you have now 😍
Yep. I enjoyed that. From repairing similar boards, those switches are notorious for failure. They feel okay but their electrical connections are questionable at best. Good job!
Good that the great master system is working ! Future advice,to ooen the console, after removing the screws, lift the rear part of top shell, because there are two plastic pegs in the front, and like you opened it,the break with ease, also check the pause button because they are notorious for going bad !oh and get a Sonic cartridge, because the one in the memory, doesnt have the ending credits.cheers mate
I wonder, can you take these boxes fold them flat (like at the factory before folding/building it then packing full of stuff and shipping) and maybe steam them lightly and maybe press them between two sheets of glass for a few hours or over night. Or are they to delicate? If they are not to delicate that would bring back their original shape and some strength so they could be refolded and be a lot more like new :)

Cheers dude, Sonic is feeling much happier now lol!
Glad to see you not only got the system sorted but also the box, great watch
Thanks for the support, really appreciate it. Was good to turn the situation into a positive and save it although it did take a long time!

Thanks for the tip on opening from the rear, I'll remember that for any in future!
Forgot to mention, that is the pause not reset button, and they are notorious for going bad .
Yep I just misspoke as for some other consoles that button often is 👍🏼

Generally doing what I did in this video is about as good as you can get them.
It's strange that this MS2 that has Sonic built in has only RF. I have an older one with Alex Kidd in it and it has an RGB output.
@@adilator The Sonic one came later so I'd imagine that was probably part of the usual cost cutting that happens as a console gets older.
