Also types of bows and arrows heads can be salvaged or crafted that are more effective in combat. Broad heads etc. With poison tips and stealth, a bow can be substantially better in such a situation when warring with other human factions. I'll welcome the Colombian and the Mexican in my base.

I could kill like 100 zombies with any of those things before you can make 1 bullet out of a nail. Besides... you'd be spending most of your time trying to find food and temporal shelter, not much time for making bullets... either arrows for the matter.
Its incredible these two were able to shoot the targets every time and resist the urge to shoot even a single arrow into the crowd. Truly world class athletes!
@@mistercat5300 I was saying this on another comment, but will repeat here: I would assume it’s all tied, good genes translate into good looks, fitness, physical prowess, etc. For example, they have to have great eyes, body proportions, muscle coordination and more for what’s basically yesteryear hunting skills. People less capable for sports tend to have some sort of other less alluring features, like non symmetrical limbs... not saying that someone with different sized legs pair can’t run fast, with proper training they can, but the fastest of the fastest are fine tuned as a whole. That’s maybe why top soccer, football, etc players are also models... It does feel “unfair” but it’s all the same single thing, something that drives it all making it a “winner takes all” world out there. Nature.

There is an annual Medieval Festival in the town of Andilly, France each year around May. Saw an elderly lady put several arrows into a rubber chicken at roughly the same distance in succession and without a pause. Using a period bow as well. What got me was, after releasing the arrow, she would squint at the chicken to check if she hit it. She was followed by a young girl that didn't seem to have the upper body strength to draw the bow but, she repeated the performance effortlessly. The chicken was wrecked but the display impressive.

@@mistercat5300 I was saying this on another comment, but will repeat here: I would assume it’s all tied, good genes translate into good looks, fitness, physical prowess, etc. For example, they have to have great eyes, body proportions, muscle coordination and more for what’s basically yesteryear hunting skills.
People less capable for sports tend to have some sort of other less alluring features, like non symmetrical limbs... not saying that someone with different sized legs pair can’t run fast, with proper training they can, but the fastest of the fastest are fine tuned as a whole. That’s maybe why top soccer, football, etc players are also models...
It does feel “unfair” but it’s all the same single thing, something that drives it all making it a “winner takes all” world out there. Nature.

There is an annual Medieval Festival in the town of Andilly, France each year around May. Saw an elderly lady put several arrows into a rubber chicken at roughly the same distance in succession and without a pause. Using a period bow as well. What got me was, after releasing the arrow, she would squint at the chicken to check if she hit it.
She was followed by a young girl that didn't seem to have the upper body strength to draw the bow but, she repeated the performance effortlessly.
The chicken was wrecked but the display impressive.
