We looked the popularity of all theaters across multiple mediums, consolidated and came up with this list. So per say, its a view of general audience only. While that being said, We understand your point and the theaters that you have mentioned are also good in their own ways.
In terms of positiveness in service and the price of foods, drinks and tickets yes you are right locals are better than PVR INOX but in terms of cinema looks PVR INOX wins in my opinion.
You are right, Palazzo is the #1 theater in my opinion! It was previously owned by SPI Cinemas (remember Sathyam Cinemas?) which was built and opened in November 2015 in Nexus Vijaya mall, but nowadays ever since PVR took over they are taking away some of the aesthetics of Palazzo by adding sponsorships, removing the dining area and recently they even renovated the IMAX theater and it doesn't look as "royal" as other unrenovated theaters in Palazzo. PVR is also making the prices of snacks and drinks expensive and ever since the IMAX theater renovation they increased the ticket prices for IMAX from Rs350 to Rs500. Hence, I rate this 4.5 out of 5, otherwise I would've definitely rated this 5/5!
