Recently, I had gifted a helmet to my father on father’s day. After his recent long trip, he started getting headache, pain on neck and interchanging blood pressure levels. After visiting a doctor, the doctor stated that this is due to tight cheek pad attached to helmet.
I never would had thought a tight cheek pad could damage one’s health!!

Thank-you so much for the idea to modify the cheek pads!!! This is just the solution I was looking for!

Great idea. I was thinking of different DIY solutions instead of buying expensive new cheek pads. This is better than the ideas I had!

Hello. This was excellent idea! I have an adventure motorcycle helmet with cheek pads too tight and all out of stock on smaller size, so this was perfect. You did a great job and I love the cat trying to help out. Cute! Thanks!

hi! sorry for my late response. I experienced the same thing as you, had a hard time finding that exact fit & size because of availability these times of pandemic. Anyway, you're welcome and thanks too.

That seems like a pretty good idea. I wonder how difficult it would be to replace the foam with a thinner piece? I like the idea of keeping what is against your cheeks flat and smooth.

Thanks. if you want to replace the foam you have to sew new cover too and attach it back to the plastic using sewing machine. It won't be easy.

@@exposeslug384 Yeah it wold be tough to get it on like they have from the factory because the stitching is hidden really. My machine would stitch across the cheek pads to do it similar to you though, but it would be stitched down tight. I have a big industrial machine, it would sew through that plastic backing piece easily.
