That little clip at the end, though. haha Norm and his lights.. I wasn't sure what to think when I heard it was released, but you guys are selling me on this right now! You guys thought of everything to make it suit a backpackers' needs.
Nice product, I already ordered mine. ;-) My only complain ist the battery. I would loved to have a native 18650, because I always have several in my backpack on tours which fits my flashlight. Greetings from Germany!
+whtmikeg30vanlife the product is made to easily plug into any of our solar panels. If it is a crank that you are interested in, check out the larger version. We designed this product more for backpackers who want to shave weight.
+whtmikeg30vanlife It has a removable Li-NMC battery (Don't charge these in normal 18650cell chargers as i don't believe their normal 18650 battery chargers charge the Li-NMC cells. Only Li-Ion's.) that is only 15$ with 3000mah. compared to the other 18650 Li-Ion cell batteries of 3000 that cost 30$. So you can buy extra batteries. charge them from the lantern, take it out. hold it as a spare, then use it if the other battery wastes. + it also acts as a mini power house for phone, etc devices (like charging the guide 10+ battery pack.). USB power is versatile now that you can basicly charge this, and charge stuff off it anywhere.
just for feedback I try not to buy things with proprietary batteries. Seems like you could use rechargeable AA instead. If the USB cable breaks, now i lost a light, a recharger and a battery -> LandFill.
Back to the drawing board guys! Mine crapped out after 1 month. $59? Not impressed. Also I hate the built in cord - that's just waiting to not work. Let me use my own cord USB to USB. It also doesn't last that long. On high it goes very fast. Low is much better, but it's also a lot less light. Overall I liked the idea and some features like the dial on the front to adjust, but having lasted one month and costing $59 left me looking elsewhere.
You guys really think about what you do and how we will use it. Excellent.

hahaha okay so at 2:10 the battery of the camera died or the light was empty??
Very creative product!
Is that an internal 18650 battery?

It's a nice lantern but... Built in USB cable? Why?
