MC calling her sister-in-law and acting like a pervert. I’m sooooo confused 😂😵💫😫 Edit: ……I’m sorry but the sister….is she related to MC? ……They’re all weird 💀
I searched for the original novel (named 逍遥小儒仙) to understand the character relationships. The MC's sister-in-law married his brother five years ago, but on the day of the wedding (even before the ceremony), his brother and father both enlisted in the military and have been missing ever since. The MC calls her "sister-in-law" based on the memories of his current body, but since his soul has been replaced by that of a modern man, he doesn't have much emotional attachment to his brother and doesn't place much importance on traditional ethics. As for his sister-in-law, at first she seems to only have a sibling-like affection for the MC, or even a relationship similar to that of a mother and son (the saying "the elder sister-in-law is like a mother" applies here). She treats the MC as a younger brother to rely on and is very close to him. However, these unconscious actions have stirred up the MC's "evil" inside. However, I agree with your opinion that the relationships like this is really weird. There could be some foreshadowing; MC's brother is only missing, not confirmed dead, so he might come back later to create new conflicts. But to be honest, I'm not a big fan of this kind of ethically complicated storyline...
