Thank you so much for coming along on a disorganised ride of a week! Something I didn't emphasise enough in this video is just how important it is to take care of yourself, especially in times of stress. I've come to realise how much I value routine and good habits 🦋 yoga, actual sleep, making time for friends, eating proper food, sleep again. All important. Work and productivity are amazing, but not at the detriment of you. A lesson I will continue to learn.
The honesty in this video is real! I feel like all uni students can relate to the hallway breakdown, but it is also nice that you included the hallway dancing- Life is a mix of both!
Okay I'm in the middle of my first real exam season and I feel that break down so hard. From this past Saturday to this next Saturday I have nine tests. NINE!! I was in the middle of reading a book last night to wind down for bed and I just started sobbing. I have no idea why I wasn't overly sad or anything but I just started sobbing and then sobbed for like 20 minutes. And then I woke up this morning with a migraine so I went back to bed and now it's noon and I haven't done any homework today and I have an exam tonight that I haven't studied for. I'm so ready for the semester be over I'm tired
@@chelsey8737 yep, I feel this, but remember to get good rest. If you have a decent-good understanding of the material the best thing you can do the night before the exam is to get good rest, so just chill😊🌃😴

As you're going to live in so many different places and countries, would you consider making a video about your experiences as a woman living in these places (safety, going out at night etc)? After seeing your last video and how you said something bad had happened the other day in San Fran which wasn't very nice, I'm starting to question the differences and I think it would be very informative!

Something that made my day: Seeing you smile even though life is clearly being very demanding on you right now and seeing you gift an Advent Calendar to someone who has never had one before. Even though you didn’t mention it in the video, Advent and Advent Calendars are VERY British traditional during the Christmas season and so you were, without even thinking, sharing an important part of your cultural identity and your own sense of who you are inside. That, for me, was beautiful and so it has made my day that much better.

Ik this might sound really dumb, but if you do all your classes online then why do you need live in a dorm and everything
It gives them a social life i guess - plus they still have societies and move around to different cities, so it keeps the students together and then they don't have to find their own accommodation ☺

It's a new system that they're trying where you live in a new place every semester. I think they're in San Francisco for two semesters and then after that it's a new country for every semester (I think! Not 100% sure). An the school isn't only the online classes they do a lot of community events, learning about classmates from around the world, they do a lot of cultural events. The whole point of the school is to get your degree with your online classes but then to also experience however many countries that they go to an all the different cultures and ethnicities and food and languages and religions that you possibly can and the time that you're in the school.
Most Unis are actually becoming more like this one I think, as lectures are being recorded and posted online due to the accessibility of the internet and people becoming more lazy lol. Wont be surprised if half the world's unis become like minerva.

Honestly I appreciate these videos way more then I did some of the other ones earlier this summer. They weren't bad or anything it's just not why I'm here. This is the content that I said subscribed, for this is the Jade that I want to see, real, tired, excited and panicking over deadlines but also sharing different cultures with us and sharing her roommates with us. I fully agree with Jade, if you want to start TH-cam, just do it! I decided to give it a go in August and I've loved it so far. I make videos about College/GCSEs and A levels with some music thrown into the mix. I was definitely inspired by Jade, and Eve and Jack just to have a go and and fun
Jade I just want to say that you inspired me to apply to Minerva and I'm gonna get my decision this week (it's so nerve-wracking)! No matter what the results are, applying to this uni itself has made me open, have a new view towards life and not just believing in the pursuit of traditional institutions. I think minerva should rethink the amount of assignments they give per week, when you are that stressed you can't properly enjoy and absorb what you are learning, Its not healthy to be that pressured with having to submit assignments all of the time, it takes joy out of learning when you are under pressure to submit an assignment. And why? Periodic assessments are just as effective. Its as though they want to try and prove minerva is a prestigious school by giving loads of assignments, so it can seem intense and high paced as though that equals prestige ..when in reality, that amount of assignments aren't necessary. You should all complain and tell them its taking a toll on your mental health and you can't get enough sleep. I know minerva is a prestigious school, I know you have to be super intelligent to get in with a really high IQ, and you should be so proud of yourself for getting in, but they should rethink the method of assessment, its not fair on you to be pressured all the time.
Dragon Fly first semester is a lil bit intentional to be stressful. They throw a lot of opportunities for u to engage for u to learn how to manage your time and make decisions ( I.e: know how to say no to something cool). There are many people with different backgrounds and having them to mature is the idea. I agree it was lot of assignments for them this week and they should rethink this. my first semester was not this overwhelming ( still assignments but not this much), but also I know their first year is a lil bit different than ours so no that fair to compare. First year is not about grades but maturing. Ps: class 2022 here.

1st semester me is crying in the corner because I had so many courses back than and I had to travel for 90 minutes to get to uni and 90 minutes to get back home. University isn't just hard because of assignments. There can be so many other factors such aus difficulty of the exams, amount of exams per semester, commuting and so much more. I think it's pretty cool that you have online classes because you don't have to commute.
I can honestly tell you that you inspire me in every possible way. ❤❤ I love your honesty and real life adaptations. I love how you share for the sake of sharing and benefiting others. It's always a happy moment why I receive a notification of you posting a post, story on Instagram or a video on TH-cam cause I know it will be worth my time. ❤ I'll take the advice you give here today but to finally start my podcast (I had this idea for years and originally it was going to be TH-cam videos) but I feel more comfortable with making this only audible. The podcast is about adapting better habits and adapting a happy life. The name I have for this podcast is "The happiness within " tell me how you think about it. And for the randomly chosen date it will be the 25th of December (Man! I already freaked out by just saying that) 🥶🧘♀️On that day I'll come to this video and hopefully post the first episode. I can't believe how sunny SF seems to be! Here in Montreal its pitch dark after 4pm, there has been episodes of snow every few days... I can't wait to get back home for Christmas holidays (in southern France) :(
