Oreana is a post-rock, instrumental solo project by Jill Paslier. Her debut album, The Desert was originally released under Jill Paslier in 2020. The 2021 album, Sunrise, Gold, features live drummers on most of the tracks- Jeremy Yurcaba on Broken Arrow and Sunrise, Gold; Dennis Abstiens (At The Grove) on Les Laix and Mogollon; and Rob Evraets Jr. (Hereafter) on Jeju and Chamrousse. This album also features two guest guitar players- Bryan Freymuth (For The Shire and Driving Slow Motion) on Les Laix and Sean Murphy (Longwinter) on Dreams Like Winter Dust. These collaborators graciously offered their gifts and talents to help make this album really special. :) This album was mixed and mastered by Jose Silva (Fire by Night), whose talent and expertise helped bring this album really shine.

What a wonderful album! Such melodic music with lovely crescendos. A lot of effort went into making this, and it shows. Consistent throughout. Oh and the beautiful videos accompanying the songs here, really add to the listening experience, very nice touch. One of my favorite releases (and their have been many good ones) for 2021. Stay with it Oreana.

i think it's the way drums are mixed in most PR music that unnerves the hell outta me. Yeah, and that washy guitar sound. No thanks. PR is not for me at all.
