Many Jews died in fact of disease like Typhus in addition to shootings and gas. We know it was 6 million because Jews in every Jewish Community kept records. So did Germany. The Roma / Sintis who Germany murdered, did not so the exact number of their community who were murdered is not certain; anywhere between 300,000 to over 500,000. Antisemites and Holocaust deniers will always attempt to downplay / whitewash the crimes Germany committed.. My family lived through it. For example we can say with certainty that 65,000 Austrian Jews were murdered. Their names are posted on a Wall in Vienna.
