Bullshit. Messner is incredibly humble and honest. Peter Habeler is the one who ruined their relationship by twisting the story of their summit of Everest and pretty much lied and tried to take the credit.
I have a great respect for Peter Habeler, one of the unsung greats of his time.

Seems like such a warm person. Very sincere.
Very humble person - Messner was probably the better climber, but I think Habeler is one of the most sympathic mounteneers in the history of alpinism.
He's a Legend.Ive met Peter Habeler in Person.At the Mt.Evererst Restaurant in Mayrhofen.Hes a really down to earth guy.💖👌

that right in the surface, but Messner has always been humble in his own way
