🌹Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “Every intoxicant is unlawful and whatever causes intoxication in large amounts, a small amount of it is (also) unlawful.” (Ibn Majah 3392)
The reason we pray is not only to be deemed as Muslims as it is a major pillar of Islam, but especially to keep our mind and soul in order. Human beings will by default always chase worldly pleasure. And one pleasure opens doors for another, we are created this way. You do not want to die whilst sinning, and it's prayer that helps one stay away from those so-called sinful pleasures by regulating our need for them and thus avoid sin.
Muslim means you surrender and do what you’ve been ordered to do. We all make mistakes. Everything can be forgiven. But not praying means not truly surrendering. Not truly believing. Reminds me of surah 74 al-Muddathtir. When describing the ones in flames. Doesn’t say: does who didn’t believe. It says those who did’t pray, feed the poor. Praying is a must.
Goodness!! Never ever rely on the hope of eventually entering Jannah. It is a fact that will happen and people will be saved just bc they were muslims. But there's no telling how many thousands or millions of years will have passed in the fire before the mercy of Allah descends upon these muslims. It's a world of suffering and pain in the grave and on the day of resurrection for 50k years and in the fire for Allah knows how long. It's way too much suffering to idle around and wait for.
My prayers are not perfect because I’m someone with lots of thoughts I can’t control especially during solah. Am I going to hell? It’s scary the way he sates it. I tried to control it and sometimes I redo the prayers. May Allah please have mercy on us that struggles with concentration during solah.
