Sometimes a thrifting video is more than just a thrifting video. I am retired, but looking for my "next act." I love fashion and have been thrifting since the 70s. I know I want to do something in this arena, but don't have a lot of confidence I can be successful. Then this video came along that was so affirming for me. I was pleasantly surprised to see you both wearing pieces so similar in style to pieces I own. And your choices in the store are what I would have chosen and have chosen for my closet. I thought, "if my closet is filled with clothes like they are choosing, I might be pretty good at this." And, Lauren, at 63 I still decorate like a teenager. I think you would love my yellow cat figurine from the 60s and the cat lamp I inherited from my grandmothers with light up eyes! This video was just what I needed! Beth and Lauren, I loved your choices! I loved your rapport! A great video that I know I will revisit many times. Thanks!
Oooo that sounds interesting... the cat lamp with eyes that light up... also thrifting in the 70's. I LOVE 70's fashion especially the leather/fur coats, dresses, and blouses/tops, and platforms of course... really anything reflecting the blaxploitation era... the Cleopatra Jones movies are my favorite 70's type of style/style inspired looks and Tina Turner's look in the 70's when she was of Ike and Tina Turner Revue. I can only imagine. I started thrifting in the late 90's when I was in my early 20's.
So fun!! I did love the red "crazy" jacket on Lauren but good for her for knowing what she'll actually wear.

I’ve found a vintage YSL lightblue handbag in patent leather for 5 dollars and a Ferragamo huge leather bag for 20 dollars.
This was the best thrift with me I have ever seen anywhere! So fun!!!! You both stayed true to your own styles and were both so inspiring. I’m definitely following Lauren now too.

FYI , I found An Authentic Hermes Kelly in Fushia color and nearly every high end designer brand you know. That’s why I love thrifting . High/ Low shopper here and it’s so fun 🤩Thinking of opening up my own luxury thrift store as a find so much Luxury items.

Love it!!! This vlog was awesome 👌 years ago. i found an 18k gold Gucci watch ⌚️ in Goodwill Mountain View, Ca. Was not working, but I took it to the watch repair and for 35.00 back to alive and still have it. I pay 4.99 dlls. I love to go thrifty and find wonderful things 😊❤
What a fun video! All the reminiscing about Cabbage Patch dolls took me right back to second grade, I was obsessed! I was born in ‘73 so just a few years older than the two of you but totally relate. Wow, I'm blown away by your videos on the thrifting and The styling. I was doing that in Denver and I absolutely loved it because the thrift stores were just amazing. Move to Florida and the thrift stores are crap. I'm watching videos and trying to start thinking out of the box and go for a different style. Maybe that will help me be a little bit more open-minded With the Florida thrift stores. Wish me luck 🤞

I found a vintage silk 2 piece escada suit $2 and an Escada silk top NWT $1❤ all in a soft pink!!!
I’m not a stylist, but I know what I like, and just go in with a clear mind, and then consider any items that could be my thing. Whenever I go in with a plan, or expectation, I find zero that I like, and then I leave disappointed. The less hopeful I am, the luckier I seem to be🤷🏼♀️😂
Most UK stores aren’t anywhere near as big as US stores, though, so that might be part of it.
Right now, there is a separation of opinions of the rapture time. Some watchmen say 9th of Av (July) and some say Feast of Trumpets (September).
When the 9th of Av passes, all watchmen will look for the Feast of Trumpets as the rapture time. Isaiah 52:8 King James Version (KJV)

The blowing of the trumpet announces that the glory of God is about to be revealed.
The name Zion is often used to describe a place appointed by the Lord where his followers can live and serve God. Scripture refers to Zion as the “City of Holiness” and a “city of refuge” where the Lord protects his people from the evils in the world.
The rapture is expected in 2023. Believe on Jesus and be saved.
