A DudeWithWisdom All I would say is practice as much as possible and practice other people’s music. Invest in actual published tab books of your favorite bands and learn everything note for note. Do not rely on internet tabs! They are often times inaccurate.

Unless, of course, they're essentially the tab books with, say, drums added. I've done that a few times. E.g. Beauty In Tragedy on Songsterr.
