Hey guys hope you enjoyed this vlog! I have loved bringing you along on my journey to becoming a primary school teacher. The end is in sight! I am just waiting on a few more results and Inshallah I will graduate soon. Leave any questions you have below and I will make sure to answer them in a "PGCE Q&A". Thank you for all your continued support throughout this year it means so much to me. Hopefully I will be way more active now that I have more free time XOXO Zahrazahra
Do you feel equipped to do your probationary year from doing the PGCE? Is it enough actual placement time to learn? Congrats on coming to the end, love your teaching content 🥰 I am starting mine next year inshallah 🤍
I am currently doing a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course to teach English abroad, but I keep having second thoughts about teaching and whether I am actually prepared or fit for the role. What skills do you suggest are most important for teaching and what advice would you give for people who are thinking about teaching? I feel the anxiety already😂😂
What’s the hardest part of the PGCE in your opinion? How were you able to balance going out, meeting friends, spending time w family as well as making sure all your work is done and you have done all your lesson plans If you could go back in time and tell yourself one think when you started the PGCE what would it be?
Is the pay justifiable to the amount of work? Are you able to making a significant saving whilst also spending your pay on bills and eating out with friends, travel ect
Masha Allah Zahra so happy for you that your placement went well and your meeting. You will make an amazing teacher based on your personality the kids will be lucky to have you.
Doing my secondary PGCE inshAllah in September and I'm so excited but so nervous. 1. How did you break down your week in terms of PGCE work/ placement/ employment/ social life? 2. Is it possible to maintain a part time job during this year and how many hours do you think are manageable? 3. What would you change or improve if you could go back and start again? 4. In terms of assignments what's the best way to approach them while on placement? 5. If you don't like your mentor what would you do? Loved these vlogs❤💫
I will be doing my pgce this September hopefully insha Allah. I just wanted to ask how was it like balancing your social life, placement work, assignments? Because it seems very full on when I saw the calendar I said where would be the time to decompress hang out with friends self care etc.
You will need to make time. Eventually you’ll find it’s tempting to bring your work into weekends and late evenings because of how much you’ll have to do. i finished my pgce this year and made sure I didn’t do any work on weekends and spent that with family/friends. I spent extra time on training days to do work and also after school. Honestly you’ll need it for your sanity and you’ll enjoy the year a lot more if you maintain that balance! 🥰
@@vanillaabeanfrap omg thank you so much for the lovely advice 🥰🥰. Honestly it’s just so nerve wrecking. But kudos to you for getting it done during a whole pandemic it must’ve been challenging but you showed great determination. Best of luck with your teaching career.
@@amaliaali6886 it is nerve wracking and at the start of year you will literally feel like what on earth am i doing is this right for me!!!! You will learn so much and you’ll never believe it during the hard times (because there are a lot) but you’ll eventually grow into such an amazing teacher and the kids will love you!
@@vanillaabeanfrap omg I love this thank you so much you defo eased my nerves. How was the uni support like from lecturers? Thank you so much for such reassuring words because I had that self doubt saying maybe I’m not ready because I was stressed out with my other uni assignments. I almost cancelled my space but my mum said don’t make decisions when you’re emotional so thank God I didn’t.
@@amaliaali6886 uni will support you! I did My teacher training theough scitt meaning I was mainly at placement most of the time so I didn’t really have to go uni much. We got an assignment near holiday time, and my placement would be flexible in the sense they have me extra time for assignments. I thought uni would be the most difficult part of the course - it wasn’t at all so don’t worry about it! Just do assignments during your holidays and once you get a brief start working on it ASAP!
What age group are you teaching? How did you plan your lessons ? Do you get a job offer at the school you did your placement at ? Any tips for the folder ? Love your vlogs ❤️❤️xx
