  • Getting Started with Face Painting - Beginner Face Painters Essentials.
Here I run through my face painting kit and explain what each item is used for. When you are starting out in face painting, you may not need to have such an extensive set up, however by watching this you will be able to make an informative decision about what would suit your face painting kit at the beginning and what can wait until you have enough funds to purchase.
When It comes to figuring out what you will need as a face painter, it can get a little daunting. When I first started out I couldn’t wait to fill up with face painting supplies and tools so that I could practice all day every day.
Now days my kit is quite elaborate consisting of a variety of paints, powders, brushes, powder applicators, sponges, glitter, stencils and the list goes on.
In this face painting class I will explain in detail all of the items that I have in my face painting kit. Whilst you are starting out you may not need absolutely everything that I have listed here however this video will help you decide what you would like to start out with in your starter face painting kit. Once you become more experienced you will want to add some more items.
These are the items you will need to put together a face painting kit for professional face painting.

This video isn’t about making the case, it’s about what you put in your case. We like the case you are using.

That was a really good tutorial, I am looking into starting face painting as a summer job, as I am a child minder I will have quiet moments over the summer, so to get some money I would love to do this. Do you think that is a good idea?

    I enjoyed watching this video.
How often do you find you're restocking your supplies? I find I'm spending roughly $300-$400 every few months, is this true also for you?

I’m just now starting out! I have purchased several snazaroo paints. Are they worth it? I have seen a lot of people use fusion paints as well and wonder if they are better. Also, do you leave your paint cakes open like that? some of my paints dont have lids and came in the starter kit plastic box. I would like to just leave the round cakes open but I am afraid they will dry out. They are water activated though

Hallo, at 9.28 you say you like to use the non ridged part of your water well. You point to it that you use the right side for white paint, and the left side for black paint. Surely the water runs and mixes together?

Can you please tell us what brand of case that is? I absolutely love it and I can’t afford a craft-n-go yet! I love that there’s a huge lid that opens up and that the top drawer has a hinged lid! Thanks!!

Please help me get started... I love to do my makeup funky and I have been painting faces with these tiny kits since I was tiny and im 35 now with a five year old and I would love to to be able to face paint at kids parties... I am in the USA... Snazaroo is what im used to seeing... Wish. Com has some decent sized pallets cheap but I'm afraid to get them because I want pigmented paints. Water activated. I would love to know your thoughts on what is the best brand? Separate cakes or a pallet? Most bang for your buck? I've got A huge love for makeup so I have brushes like crazy and I paint so i have tons of those brushes too... I just need advice on the paint itself because I'm poor and this will be a huge investment for me. If you could give me price points, brand names, where to buy, and separate color pans or pallets... Oh!!! And can you use each color separate with a small brush with these "mixed cakes"(?) you have? Or is that out of the question? I have a lot of make up stuff but I'm lost with face and body paint and don't have anyone to ask... I wish I knew a clown who wanted to retire and sell everything 😂🤣 Tysm if you get time to answer my questions. Love your set up. I have everything but the actual paint!😂 and im subbing now!

If you are outdoors and without access to a sink, and are limited with sponges, can they go into a water container with a bit of rubbing alcohol? Not enough to be irritating, but to keep them sanitized and reused on the next children after a fair soak? I HAVE TO use extreme economy for my first open community party for three hours in just three days. I'm going to have to do it, I'm just hoping that you will say yes, in a pinch, do it!

I'm not charging money for this first event. People may choose to be painted or not, but I want it to be clear that I have made every effort to be hygenic. Thank you so much for the video. It's helping me learn a lot!

You mentioned that you grab jewel at the dollar store.
Would the glue on them be safe for the skin?

Hi 😊 the one’s that i get don’t have glue on them. It isn’t advisable to use jewels which are sold with glue on them. Hope this helps. Thanks so much for reaching out✨🤩

Idk I see a lot of facepainters reusing the same sponge on multiple people, or brushes without using alchol to clean the germs of (as well as their paints)... I think that's gross..

      Not me
I bought many brushes and sponges and always sanitize between kids. My water has hydrogen peroxide

    • @tahneeyuh3382
      @tahneeyuh3382 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@s.b.8258hydrogen peroxide makes my kid’s skin go NUTS but rubbing alcohol is usually good for everyone. It dries so fast and kills everything. Hydrogen peroxide only really cleans when there’s open wounds… could make the skin sting
I use it a lot too and anything with Hydrogen peroxide in it makes your fingers turn white after a while. You’re better off with rubbing alcohol since it dries within 10 seconds and just using regular water..
