India had it's Hrithik Roshan in the 70's unfortunately they wasted this huge talent. Kabir and Mahesh never deserved her - their loss - she was always awesome - sad that there was no understanding around mental affliction in her time. The media and Mahesh (unwittingly) sensationalized her issues for personal gain - she wasn't even that far gone ever. Mostly very lucid, articulate and could put most (but def not all) of today's crop of actresses to shame - far better an actress than she was ever given credit for.

@@MeSroyysorry I don't agree Jaya movies are best her single movie did not fail she was junior to Amitabh but she topped the stardom being favourite of hrishikesh mukerjee and other directors like giulzar she came later Amitabh was struggling with string of flop exaust Ed tired ready to return after 10 yrs of struggling no heroine wanted to pair with him he got small roles in reshma Shera and roti kapda makaan though Jaya had all super hit movies like guddi koshish parichay samadi and korakagaj shor and many others while amithab could not make one single hit ready to return home, Rekha living in the building of Jaya doing b grade movie with double meaning songs her solva sawan and other flop while Jaya was at the top ,the first timer prakash mehra went to Jaya for zanzeer ,he was afraid that Jaya would reject the role but Jaya had seen Amitabh in Pune institute once she accepted the role the nervous prakashmehra was happy that at least there is a star in the movie ,the film became super hit Jaya recommended Amitabh to all his director and he goes roles in abhimaan chupke chupke namak harram and also the most wanted role of Anand we hich Jaya requested the director for Amitabh and Dharmendra was replaced , and rest is history they did sholay after marriage so she is the stair which Amitabh used when Rekha was there but as a struggler herself so just by saying she is rude ,she is stern but highly talented and professional u can watch her old interviews on dd which shows she is well read person and a daughter of a journalist so naturally she will react if media is wrong

Both of these actors are not Indian ethnically, or are not fully. Kabir is half English and Parveen is half Afghan. Many of bollywood actors are actually mixed with different ethnic groups, this is why they look so different from regular street Indians

Pakistan might have a much smaller industry but I can't imagine Pakistan letting go such a beautiful man.
His height, his voice, his broad chest physique, his mannerism, his charm every single aspect resembled a Greek mythological creature.
India had it's Hrithik Roshan in the 70's unfortunately they wasted this huge talent.
Thank God that Italians utilised his talents in Sandokan, the Brits in James Bond and the Americans in Bold and the Beautiful, even if they were smaller roles.
Your whole post is either a 'dream' or a poor potshot at a country you 'hate'. The fact is that Bedi would have found no work in Pakistan for being a non-muslim. I'm sure Pakistan has always had many Ahmadi, Christian and Hindu men "handsomer" than Bedi willing to be in the movies. Why, to this day, has any of them not found any role of substance in your cinema? BTW, Bedi did find his share of fame in Bollywood. He mostly lived outside India and himself chose to do limited B'wood work and mostly stay away from it.

Kabir Bedi did not use Parveen Babi. He wanted to marry her. Kabir Bedi's wife Protima Bedi told in her interview that she had to give up her husband and kids for the sake of her dance career. They both got divorced. Parveen Babi wanted to have a career in Bollywood only But Kabir Bedi wanted to settle in Europe. It was the career choice that she left Kabir Bedi and returned to Bollywood. Then she started working in movies again and got involved with Mahesh Bhatt who ruined her completely.
