I can’t imagine finding out you were a bride half way down the aisle. Crazy that the parents thought they could get away with that

And the fact that they disowned her after what happened shows what sort of parents they truly are

I dunno what it is about the military, but the vast majority of men I have met in the service were huge conkwockets just like the guy in the first story. I just met a man in my class who just left the navy, he told me "oh yeah, enlisted men are the absolute worst. Part of why I left is I was super uncomfortable about all the misogyny and casual talk about r∆piπg women".

My friend Deb has only ever wanted to be married and have kids. She never had any other ambitions. She dropped out college after one semester. She always did the bare minimum even in high-school. She never had job that lasted more than six months or a boyfriend either. She gets pregnant when she's almost 30. The guy constantly ghosted her when she tries to get child support. He was with her thorough out the whole pregnancy and a few months after. She was getting welfare. But, soon as the state started to come after him for child support he took off. Any way she's about 40 when she meets John. He's a few years younger and never married. After about 6 months he proposes she of course said yes. She tells me his family is kind of weird. They are religious but she doesn't know what religion they practice. I meet her soon to be mother-in-law and 3 of her sister-in-laws at the bridal shower. They were all standoffish. They gave me a weird vibe. Deb was so excited to finally getting married. That's all she ever wanted. By this time she had been on welfare for 10 years and gotten an education. Still no job. Anyways two days before they were to get married John calls off the wedding and dumps her. Instead of being sad and hurt she said she felt relieved. She still hasn't gotten married and she's in her 60s. I cut her out of my life not long after. She knew her ex had gotten married and slept with him. When he came over to see his son. Despite having a good paying job he still refused to pay child support. She got it all in the end.

I was a runaway at a proposal. I met a guy at my senior prom, talked to him for 20min about GameGrumps, and gave him my Facebook so we could hang out sometime. The day after prom, he asks me out on a date, and I say yes (despite only talking to him for 20min) he *immediately* changed his facebook status to “In a relationship with [me]” Weird, but whatever. Two days later, he proposed to me in the school parking lot with a $30 ring. I turned and ran home. Then when we went on that date a week later, he starting licking my face and ear while rubbing my thigh like ten minutes into Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 and I fled the theater. Then he sent me over fifty texts saying “I’ll be more lenient with you because of your disabilities” (I have Anxiety and Panic Disorder) I never responded. Because I never responded, he rode his bike forty minutes to my house, prowled around my yard for 34 minutes looking in my windows, climbing over the fence into my backyard to look in my big sliding glass door (we have security camera footage to prove it) and then he sent his mother to my house that weekend to try to talk to me. She basically said “He’s Autistic, just give him a chance. Also sorry he’s stalking you, please don’t press charges.” My mother told her to kick rocks, sent him a VERY strongly worded text, and he never contacted me again.
Until, two years later. I’m in college, I’m at the library working on a group project. My phone goes off and it’s a message from him saying something akin to “I miss you my butterfly” I made some exasperated comment like “Oh God, it’s [his name]..” and one of my group members asked me his last name. When I told him, he slammed both his hands on the table and almost excitedly yelled “THE DUDE WHO F**KED HIS CAT?!” To say that I dodged a bullet is the understatement of the century. Turns out there’s a facebook group dedicated to tracking this dude’s activities and warning the women he’s going for. So that’s the story of the one boyfriend I’ve ever had, who tried to marry me after only knowing me for three days.

A woman I know is a serial fiancé. In 2010 she was engaged and the wedding was set for early August. I don't details but about a week before it was supposed to happen, she called it off. Her birthday is the end of January. On her next birthday, 6 months later, she was proposed to by a different dude, which she accepted. They were married the next August. Within 6 months of that, she was cheating on him with this drug addict I went to high school with. She got pregnant, divorced, and addicted and at one point had her daughter taken away. The dude died. Again, I don't know details but I do know he had been unable to stay clean so my guess is that he OD'd. She had owned a popular tattoo shop in the area but lost the business because of her addiction. She wasn't paying her employees so at one point they just took items from the shop as payment (art, equipment, etc). She played the victim on social media about that one. Just a couple of years ago, she had made a deal to merge her shop with another popular shop in the area and the other shop pulled out of the deal the day before it was to be finalized. She had it all, she was successful, loved, and healthy and then she lost it all because of her own stupid actions.

Most of these seem to show that at least one of the parties involved isn't quite right in the head but what the hell was that one woman thinking going on a date with someone else before her wedding!?!?! How did she think she could come home after that at all, let alone drunk!?!?!

"Are you in love with him or in love with the idea of a wedding?"
I can confidently say a lot of women are in love with the idea of a wedding; they become a princess and the centre of attention for a day.
    * If anything goes wrong at a wedding, the bride will say they don't want to get married (see the TV show, 'Don't Tell The Bride).
    * The bride will call it 'my' wedding, not 'our' wedding.
    * They will spend more on their wedding than their mortgage.

The wedding party is standing at the altar waiting for bride and groom....NSFW
The groom arrives and is adjusting his belt while smiling hugely. Groomsman asks him what he's smiling about.
Groom replies "I just got the most amazing head-job from a beautiful woman and will be waking up to that every day for the rest of my life!"
Bride arrives, fixing her lip-stick and smiling hugely. Maid-of-honour asks "Why are you so happy?"
Bride replies "I just gave the last bloody head-job I'll ever have to give!"

Wow, the parents for the arranged marriage sound very controlling. "Do this, do that, keep walking. How Dare You Not Follow Through On This Marriage You Never Had Any Say In!!!" I understand it may have been normal in their culture but that really doesn't mean anything when it comes to individual people. She's better off being disowned.

Is there some sort of official Reddit page out there linked to a Reddit-like TH-cam channel? where they pick comments from there. To Upload them to youtube for others to see a video? Cuz if so anyone have a link?
