    That is a great, informative video. I had no idea on what to expect when replacing the high beam bulbs on my 2015 K1600 GTL-E. But, your English was great and I could understand you quite well. Your step-by-step install was just what I needed. I have the new LED's ready. I just need to jump in and install them. Thanks again for a great help.

    This is the first time that I see a LED conversion that actually seems to work! Maybe because there are Xenon lights fitted as standard. I tried a LED conversion bulb in my previous bike, a 1200GSA and while it gave very good and bright light, I was also annoying people in front of me. The headlight was properly adjusted, but the problem as stray light that I was spreading as a madman. During the day it was not too bad, but when dark it was not nice to ride in front of me and look in your mirror. I read an article once, written by an expert in lighting, and he said that every type of bulb (Halogen, Xenon, LED) has it's own dispersion pattern and a glass/lens to match that. If you fit a Xenon or LED bulb in a fixture for Halogen, you have the wrong glass in front of the bulb, so you may get much stray light. I've also seen much converted bikes with irritating stray light. When you're approaching them from the opposite direction, all you see is a big blob of light. Cars too for that matter.
    But judging from your video, this seems nice enough. Good, sharp 'borders' and no stray light. On my GSA, I was illuminating the overhead signs over the road... This looks great, I might buy some too. Thanks for the video!

    • @MYMOTOLIFE
      @MYMOTOLIFE  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the conversion led should be so called 360 led where the led diodes are around the tip. I have also had half success with the different types. I f you have ever watch the halogen bulb there is very short coil which radiates the light 360 degrees. Thanks for the comments and subscription and safe rides.

    I'm a portuguese K1600 rider, and I'm very interest in your headlight LED conversion.
    But, in the end of the video, when you present the 2 H7 solutions (old and new) it seams that the old H7 halogen has better light than the new one........

      @MYMOTOLIFE  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Paulo. I haven’t done any comparative tests with the lights. Sorry about that. We have currently almost 24 hrs sun here in Finland. I still believe that the led units are a little better than halogen units. At least the color of light is different, I like more white light. In my previous conversion to my GSA the led bulb was definitely better. Thanks for the comments.

    • @MYMOTOLIFE
      @MYMOTOLIFE  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Vadim. When converting from halogen to led, there is usually less heat. The small fan at the end of the led bulb is for the led electronics and I believe that heat will dissipate inside the light unit. Unfortunately I haven’t test the lights yet. I am not sure about the 55->60 W. Do you mean normal halogen bulb? Safe rides.

      @@arnoldheemskerk5920 hello Arnold. It really depends the size of driver. Sometimes it fits inside the light assembly and then some are so big that you have to leave it outside. @@arnoldheemskerk5920 I believe a ballast comes with a Xenon bulb, not an LED. I agree with the others your English is pretty good. I am looking for a decent phone mount, I got one from Pirates lair and its covering most of my dash. pirateslair.net/BikePenR-16GT.htm.
    By the way can I like your phone mount. Who is the manufacturer? Thank you.

      Hello mate. Thanks. I’m not sure what mount you mean. My phone is usually in my pocket and it’s connected to the navigator (and to helmet comms). The navigator mount is Garmin. Ride safe.
