I LOVED the trailer. I'm day one. It 100% has me interested. It's exactly what I want. If you think Dune 2 was mediocre i'm guessing this show isn't for you nor is Dune. It seemed very clear what this is about by the way. I'm guessing this is for me but not you guys.
Strongly...and I mean TSTRONGLY disagree about your Dune part 2 take. That was a once in a generation movie. People will look at that film as a hallmark for EPIC science fiction. Put some respect on it please.
Lols...I get what you're saying, but the Bene Gesserit were big players, especially in the last Dune book written by Frank Herbert, and Paul was way way out of the picture by then.
This show takes place 1000 years before the movies, it is about how the Bene Gesserit and mentats etc. took form alongside the Chaom Corporation, and the House Corrino ascended to unify humanity under a single empire, while the Jihadists from the anti-Butlerian Jihad were still running around, (imagine the Taliban still running around blowing up Robots) so they are a major force and humanity is reforming out of them, so everyone follows their religion and has to follow their red lines, so no machines etc. But yes, this show is focussed on the sisterhood, if it succeeds, they may make more, focussing on more niche and less popular forces.
you clearly don't understand the Dune universe, the Bene Gesserit was created thousands of years before Paul was even born, the sisterhood plays a huge part in the lore of Dune, for thousands of years the sisterhood manipulated the empire & manipulated and created many events that make up the whole universe & history of Dune. It was the Bene Gesserit that ordered Paul's mother Lady Jessica to marry Leto Atreides which resulted in Paul's birth. Without the sisterhood Paul would not even exist.
@@iamlinda100 I and the Chanel owners already responded to the OP, your explanation was not necessary, but it is fine to vent, hence understandable, even if it is redundant.

I completely understand not liking something............. I just had an example. "Cookie cutter" criticism. You seem good at it.
😄
Bene Jezerit the show....more girlbossing, without Paul. Typical modern woke television shit.
🤣
