- Today we are in Pigeon Forge, TN at the island to sample and review the breakfast menu at the family style (all you can eat) Paula Deen's Family Kitchen. Does this restaurant serve a breakfast as good as its lunch and dinner? Does it live up to all the hype and long wait times? OR Did we just discover the worst bacon in America? Can bacon be inedible? Hey Matt and Stacy! Great review! We tried Paula Deen’s for supper not long after they opened there, and it was pretty good, but recently we went to the one in Nashville and it was awful! Everything was over salty and the broccoli casserole was barely cooked! Yuk! I heard mixed reviews for the one in Pigeon Forge, and thought we would try for breakfast to see if any better, but I’m thinking no, after y’all’s review! LOL! It is expensive for what you get and the food quality is definitely going down, I hope she realizes this and makes some changes.
I really hope Paula can make some changes too, I've loved her for years and want to love her restaurants but the consistency is just there anymore it seems. There are soooo many great breakfast places in the area, you really have to be on top of your game to compete. Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment, we hope you have a great weekend!

I just found y'alls channel recently and subscribed! I've watched all the videos. I love how honest yall are. Seems like Paula Deens is going downhill. Lots of people are saying it's not really good anymore. Love y'alls videos!

I've been to Paula Deen's for breakfast and it was OK..just Meh
I'd rather go to Shoney's breakfast bar! The one bt Reagan's!
We haven't tried that Shoney's but we definitely want to. We grew up with a Shoney's in our hometown but it closed many years ago. We both loved it growing up so we are eager to try one of the locations in The Smokies! Thanks for watching and commenting, have a great weekend.
This place has very mixed reviews. Some people absolutely love it. Others hate it. And still others say it’s middle of the road. As someone who hasn’t actually been there I don’t know what to think.
We think their lunch and dinner are much better than their breakfast. Our lunch review of it is also on here. However, you are right, it is a polarizing restaurant so what we did not like, you may like. Not to mention service and consistency are always changing, so your experience may not be our experience. I'm sorry but most of your food looked burned. Yuck. I know how expensive food is in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but it is worth it because it's so fun. However, that was just breakfast. It just looked so bad. I'm glad you tried it for me before I made the mistake! There are sooo many good breakfast restaurants there.
You're exactly right. There are so many great places to eat that this just does not live up to. The quality here seems to have really dropped. I hope Paula turns it around but for now it's not for us. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@RaysontheRoad I just found you guys a few weeks ago and I LOOOOOVE watching your videos. I live in Tennessee but sadly, I haven't been to the smokies in over 10 years now. So I bet I wouldn't even recognize it. We used to go every fall and many times in December or February to see the Christmas and Valentine's lights. I think there is just something amazing about staying in a cabin when it is cold, walking around in Galinburg at night and seeing the different sights and hearing all the different sounds. There's just something about how amazing it truly is. So PLEASE keep up the great work. You guys are the "real deal", and I love watching you. Thanks so much!!

This was the first time we had been able to get there for breakfast. Wish we could have tried the old breakfast menu. This one wasn't very good. 😞 I'm glad you enjoy our reviews 😀
that bacon looked terrible and waffles look like hotel ones you get the chicken and hashbrown thing looked the best
The bacon was so gross 🤢🤢🤢 Honestly, nothing was great but Matt did like the chicken and the hashbowns were good with enough hot sauce. Thanks for watching and commenting!

We have eat plenty of gravy, sausage or otherwise, over the years but we had never had gravy like this. Maybe it is a southern style gravy and we are used to Appalachian style gravy? You are correct, homemade is always the best! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I've never had their breakfast, I'll have to try it. I wasn't impressed with their lunch and dinner which kinda tastes mass produced as it is. Breakfast looks...hmmm.

The bacon and the gravy looked gross. For the price, Cracker Barrell would be a better choice.
We completely agree. There are tons of better breakfast options out there. Not to mention it is so inconvenient to get to this restaurant unless you are staying at the two hotels located at the Island. The Margaritaville hotel has a restaurant located inside it called "Fin's" that does a great breakfast buffet for way less money! Hope you have a great weekend!
I agree that was a whole lot of trouble just to eat breakfast there, especially because you didn’t enjoy the food. Like you said, there are probably a ton of really good restaurants in that area.
