- In this video I purchase a giant Pile of Comics from Whatnot. I open up a giant pile of of packages full of Comic Books. See which amazing comic books I purchased for my comic book collection.

Lol very true but $5000 worth of comics was 4 short boxes vs 10 Banker Boxes of Pops. I am selling the pops for comics! Plus all the duplicates will get sold off so I assume I will be getting rid of 2 short boxes from this haul and those 2 boxes should net me back most of the $5000 I spent.

It really is, but when you keep finding $20-$30 comics for $5-$10 its hard not to buy it all haha. I am hoping with time duplicates sell pretty ok in my shop to pay for it all so I can keep going lol

You need to open and inspect the whatnot comics within 2 days for refunds and damages. I found that in the fine print of whatnot. End up with two damage lots and had to file claims with whatnot. I should clarify I bought the lots off the estate sales section, so those vendors don't know how to ship comic book. Unlike the vendors in the comic section of what not, who I have not had a problem with at all.
Definitely need to open up those boxes as soon as you get them. I have not bought from the non comic vendors, but in general I find non comic vendors not that good at shipping. I get that on ebay too.

Happy New Year. And yeah Whatnot is addictive, its so hard not to buy stuff when its a fraction of its value. I am placing all the duplicates in my shop though so I know with time I will break even and keep the ones I want for free.

Absolute Comics has a whatnot where Benny Powel hosts. His Starter packs and especially his mystery packs are the way to go to collect White Widow!
I love his show, I watch it semi often. Prices go kinda crazy though, I need to try to snag some cheap hidden deals on other channels haha
KRS is on Whatnot!! They started doing shows more recently. They open with 10 bin mystery boxes to start and then its a whole show of "fighting" for their exclusives (always end up cheaper than fmv) with tons of amazing giveaway chances!
Yeah my friend Alex said he saw one of their shows recently as well and it was fun. I definitely have to try to catch their next what not sale. I would love to snag some more of their exclusives I need.

Thank you so much for finally subscribing very much appreciated. I did end up pulling out 10K worth of pops from my collection to pay for the NYCC haul. Now I need to pull out some more for my what not hauls haha. I also still want to start buying some big grail comics so I am going to get back to pulling stuff from the collection soon.

Comic Traders is definitely the winner of the personality aspect of that whole Unknown Illuminati they got going there with their shared exclusives. I would argue that Unknown Comics usually has the best value. Especially during anniversaries', Black Friday ,Christmas,and New years. Check out their last New Years show tonight! They've been doing amazing clearance shows these past few days.
Yeah I enjoy comic traders because they are so fun and friendly, they do so many giveaways each night and prices are pretty decent, yeah sometimes I pay a bit more with them but I also feel like I get the customer service that goes along with that so its worth it. Unknown I have had some great deals with them for sure better then comictraders but not all the time, just a few moments like black friday. I will have to check out the clearance show for sure.
The issue you were having with orders sounds a lot like how Unknown is honestly, I ordered something back in September, still haven't gotten it (Ironic cause I ordered it for in store pick-up lol). It's nice to see really nice pulls to've happened though! Hope you have a wonderful new year!
Man that is a bummer, did they just not have it? At least I feel safe buying on whatnot because they refunded so fast when I had an issue, so direct buying from some of these big comic vendors does feel a bit unsafe.
@@pop-comics They did have the order since it was part of their buy 3 get 3 free during their anniversary and I got the confirmation email, they just haven't gotten back to me in terms of when it's ready. Everything I ordered was available and not sold out, so I'm just like man why even bother ordering from their online store (especially cause their customer support doesn't even get back to you half the time). I honestly might switch to whatnot for buying some exclusives and such, it seemed like a lot of the stuff you got was a lot better than directly buying it. Keep up the good videos, I tend to have them on my second monitor a good amount while doing other things! Keep up the good work!
Yeah I like making my haul videos long so its something you can put on in the background while doing other things haha. Man sounds like they messed up, I would go in with your order and try to get the comics or a refund or something else at least. That long of a wait is too long. I bought a ton at NYCC from their buy 3 get 3 sale. But the deals I am getting on whatnot is even better. And whatnot insures all the orders so if it arrives damaged its really easy to get a refund. And in the case where my order was not shipped they refunded in 2 days. I much rather buy stuff at a deal with a third party protection then relying on direct purchases from the website.
Some of those comics I recognize from mystery boxes from years ago. Same stuff, different format.
Yes its comics from the same vendors they just moved their mystery boxes onto whatnot.

When I sell comics its usually in my Physical Shop in Brooklyn. But I have sold a few online and on whatnot.
Pop guy back watching. What does your wife think of you spending so much money on comics? I'm thinking of buying my first comics, 3 sealed spiderman comics on a norwegian website! 2 of them contain a toy and one of them contain stickers. All of them are from 2001 and they are 4$ each.

Been awhile since I checked in but did you achieve your goal selling most of your pops to get that "grail" or did you get off track.
I hit the goal of paying for my nyc comic con purchases which was step one and then paying for way too much whatnot buying lol But I got covid in nov and it just kinda knocked me off the track and now its cold and miserable. I tend to hibernate in the winter, I hate the cold so much. What I might do is buy something soon on my want list to light the fire to get more sold.

Careful with Frankie's Comics moving forward - they just declared bankruptcy.
I saw that, I will still be buying from them on whatnot, but I would avoid and pre orders. And whatnot has great customer service so I know I would get a full refund if they ended up not shipping out an order etc.
I ordered some stuff from them on Black Friday I waited till about mid December I emailed them on the status of my order they responded telling by the end of the week they will ship my order and of course nothing so every week I would send them an email and would get the same response now two days ago I got a different response telling me that they declared bankruptcy and so on …. I guess I’m out two hundred dollars
Call your credit card, they will do a charge back. Tell them about the bankruptcy and the order not shipping.
Hell no dont buy crap from them ,anti hero. U cant trust people like that
