it is sad. especially when given another chance to be normal and live a somewhat normal life he actual was trying but sadly failed. i think they did parker wrong cause he would have been a simple boring boy/man if it wasnt for his mother ruining his life and messing with his brain.

I have a problem with theory...and I'm an underdog and forgiveness kind of guy...Parker entered the life of Barbara Hershey's character family while hospitalized after he cut off his own dicxx! So, he may may have been already been is gender dysphoric child and that could be why his dad left and the mother Joan Crawford-ed out and made him into Marilyn...whom by the way of rumors and theories the youtube stories are loaded with "the truth finally revealed about what we've always suspected" specific videos...that go on to claim that Marilyn was the biggest lesbian of all and had a torrid affair with Joan...I find it a bit far fetched because in a most recent video that spans 50 years they lump in EVERY actress including Judy Garland, Barbara Stanwick, Stevie Nicks, Dolly Parton....for God's sake even though my career was a decade through the 90s no one mentioned me in the tabloids with the famous actor I was living with in a house he brought for me in Malibu after we finished filming a movie in the San Francisco valley area...I was fighting a breach of contract for a film I did where my clause specifically stated no imagery of any religious desecration especially, inverted crosses etc...I was fine with the gratuitous ass scenes but, to also mix a stunt double with his junk flopping all around and then cutting to other footage filmed of me running shirtless in another scene I did film...cost them a fortune and the whole targeting of me was specific because who I was dating was who they wanted for the tabloids but, I was already 3 steps ahead...also, my ex and I would show up at an earlier Bryan Springer type of horror story and get bunches of kids the fxxx out of there.

Poor Parker, man. He was a disgusting monster in his later life and as wraith, but was a victim too as child. A victim of his evil mother. 😢 Sad to think about how many innocent children are turned into monsters through traumatic experiences in real life. How many could be saved if police would know where they must intervene??

Exactly. In fact, I think this is the root cause of nearly all rape, murder and violent crime. Numerous dictators and tyrants have this history (Hitler, Stalin, Mao, King Leopold II, Kaiser Wilhelm II, Saddam Hussein etc), as do serial rapists like Josef Fritzl, possibly Harvey Weinstein (judging by comments about his home life and his domineering mom mom), murderers like Charles Manson, abusers like Amber Heard, and my colleagues in my line if work helping underprivileged prople tell me that most max security prisoners have a history of trauma in their pasts. If we could find a way to treat children differently, find the symptoms of this acting out a cycle of pain and treat it before it worsens, these crimes would reduce dramatically.

Elise is a badass. It says a lot about someone who went through horrible stuff, only to survive it and even help others survive the same things. There are a couple people in real life who have haloed me through similar circumstances to what they went through. I think a person who helps others come out of the darkness is a great, courageous thing.

I can't help but think Parker's mom would have been just as bad if he *had* been a girl. She clearly had a very, very specific idea of what she wanted her child to be (not to mention a severe mental illness), and even the slightest deviation from that would have sent her off the deep end.

3:40 I imagine that the victims were not only women, but they resembled the mother in some way. More than likely most were white with dark hair. The story of parker seems a little bit similar to the killer from sleepaway camp. I wonder if James Wan took some inspiration from there.

They had a creepy and eerie environment coupled with a beautiful storyline. I am glad Insidious 5 (The Red Door) gave a throwback to most of this and was also a good movie considering it was Patrick Wilson directorial debut.

About the baseball bat, I have two theories that might play hand in hand.
    1. It's a sign of his lost childhood and his possessive grip on his new life.
    2. Something that you can connect to in the physical realm might enhance your willpower against spirits. As spirits are incorporeal, you can't fight them physically, but will isn't physical and can be used like a shield to push away unwanted spirits.

9:21 Idk if anyone actually noticed it but the chair that Elise sat on as she was being strangled by the Bride in Black was the chair from the Lambert residence.
And it is the exact same scene with the possesed Josh strangling her as well.
Perhaps there might be a possibility of a timeline jump: if the Bride in Black successfully kills her during their seance in chapter three, it could be actually the possesed Josh.
But again, what's happening irl is she's together with Quinn and her father.
It makes sense but it doesn't.

The creepiest thing for me about Insidious is that even before the movies were filmed I wrote things in my SF-devil story that come close to the Further and even including a part behind the end of a tunnel that would be like the memories behind the red door. Later, without ever having heard of the movies, I wrote about a child not wanting to meditate which he normally would, because he would leave his body empty (while going to a bright place for half an hour), at that moment fearing that he would be possessed. A similar thing was about to happen to that child's grandfather at some other point in time, but the child's father, trapped in that darkness where the grandfather meant to look for him, warned him to go back to his body, even though that left him alone in the darkness.
When I first learned about Insidious, I didn't even dare to watch it because it was eerie similar to those particular parts in my story.
You'd nearly think that it's real and subconsciously we all know there is this dark place you don't belong in but can go to even if you're alive by somehow leaving your body.
Are there other people out there who had also thought up a place that turn out to resemble the Further a lot even though you had not watched that movie yet?

I'm really not a fan of the insidious movies i often find it all to be really goofy even the best of the series Insidious 2 has issues for me, i can't take anything called the further seriously. The Bride in black is a legitimately creepy antagonist though, i think he's creepier than the red faced demon, i often find humans to be far scarier than the demons in james wan films like Bethesheba is scarier than Malthus or Valek to me.
