    Delmoon is the only brand in India that provides very unique craftsmanship at very reasonable prices, and the process of purchase is also hassle-free.

      It seems to me that there are several excellent Indian pen brands these days, with good prices and relatively easy ordering... Delmoon, Vazir, Epitome, PLP... actually, I haven't been able to order from PLP, here. But I also love the more traditional Indian brands, too.

      Also ASA has some Cashew lacquer models… but ya such creative models apart from i think lotus(maki) in India others are rare…

    Visit their store in Delhi and you will meet Mr Ravi Tiwari. Interaction with him is so informative and he lets you choose ur pen wisely. I have had the good fortune of trying pens and learning from him. A 'must visit' place for penmanship enthusiasts when in Delhi.

      I haven't had the chance to visit the Pens Point in Delhi yet, but I am looking forward to it on my next trip to the city!

    I love these exotic (to me) brands, pens and inks. And your presentation takes me to faraway places I wouldn't even know existed without you. Thank you so much.

      Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the videos :-) I'm very happy with this pen, but I have to say that some of the acrylics that they have available right now are equally stunning, and the prices are good enough that I'm going to have to be careful! I've bought way too many pens recently.

    okay... again my week has been made.... great review. I love that the entire purchase was priced at an extremely "affordable" point, considering the etching/engraving of the nib alone (herein) when compared to those offered by others usually effects greater price range (for just the nib)... the price alone makes this a most attractive potential acquisition....

    • @thewetpen
      @thewetpen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks :-) Their pens are well priced for the quality and originality.

    Oh my goodness! What an unusual, unique pen. My hands are small, I doubt I could even grip that chonker. But the whole package is really appealing, especially at that price. TFS

      It really is a beauty, though obviously not ideal for every hand... I was pretty excited that I ran across it 🙂

    I have yet to purchase a pen made from India. This is very intriguing. I never considered a pen with an eggshell coating but this is certainly a looker.
    The bulbous barrel reminds me of the Opus 88 Bela. I wonder if it is of similar size. Also the weight is a bit high. Is it metal construction or just a thick resin barrel, or even ebonite?

    • @thewetpen
      @thewetpen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm a big fan of Indian pens; there seems to be enough variety these days to fit any taste, whether you're interested in traditional ebonite pens or modern acrylics... even raden and urushi. This pen is larger than a Bella, but not by much, and the bulge in the center of the body is more pronounced. The weight is a combination of the thick acrylic body and the added layers of eggshell and lacquer/resin.

    Do you recommend eyedropper pens? Also suggest me something cheap(fountain pen) as I am a beginner and my budget is not that high(under 250 INR max will go to around 400 INR). THANK YOU

    • @thewetpen
      @thewetpen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not a big fan of traditional eyedropper pens, as they tend to "burp" as you write with them, but some are better than others, and the ink capacity is nice. Since I'm not in India, I don't know many good, inexpensive pens... the ones that I get are usually more for collectors (and are worth ordering from the US). That said: I have a few Click Aristocrats (mine are 3 in 1 filling), and they were around 400 rupees each... they have nice #6 (aka, No.35) medium nibs.

      @@thewetpen any thoughts on platinum preppy or jinhao 599 which has better nib

    • @thewetpen
      @thewetpen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lakshmidevi0123 The Platinum Preppy is very popular around here; good quality Japanese nibs for a low price. I haven't used that particular Jinhao, but I've generally had good luck with them too. I'd lean towards the Preppy if the nib is the size you want... the Jinhao is likely to give you a broader line.

    • @lakshmidevi0123
      @lakshmidevi0123 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thewetpen ok, so which would be better click aristocrat or platinum preppy? This is the last question sorry for bothering

    • @thewetpen
      @thewetpen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lakshmidevi0123 Hmm. Personally, I'd prefer a good Aristocrat to a Preppy, but the Preppy is more reliably good. I find that there's quite a bit of variety in the quality of nibs in the lower-priced Click pens. So, it's a bit of a toss up there... I guess it depends on whether you're feeling lucky 🙂

    How do you get these pens. I tried ordering sulekha Kali ink but they deliver only in India.. how do you manage buying them outside India

    • @thewetpen
      @thewetpen  ปีที่แล้ว

      This one was fairly easy; I just emailed Delmoon and sent them the money via PayPal, and they shipped. The Kali was a lot harder... I had to get help from Ayush of Ayush Paper; his shop carries Sulekha ink, so I asked if he could get it and ship it to me, and he obliged. I've also had some kind offers from my Indian viewers and other friends in India... but even so, I can't get a Ratnam pen to save my life.

      This one was... my particular model was 13,000 Indian Rupees, which is currently $156.18. There are, of course, more expensive ones on the Delmoon website.

      Hard to find a pen that suits everyone 🙂 I'm still really enjoying this one, though it's big enough that I don't carry it around with me much... it usually stays at home.

      Hey Dustin! Don't buy them all... leave some for me! I actually have four or five more of their pens on my list, but I just can't justify more pens while I have just purchased so many of them (also just placed another order from PenBBS). *sigh*
