That phone story hits home with me. I used to sell a lot of things (tools machinery, cars electronics etc) on Craig's list, Ebay and other online places. What always got to me is that I would often get very low offers for the items I had listed, when I responded with a firm NO, roughly 80% of the time I'd get a response stating "well I can't make a profit if I buy it at your asking price". I'd always respond to that with "wtf ,why is that my problem?" then marked their email as spam, which shut them up as far as I was concerned.
FYI the story about the military spouse the neighbor just needed to report her behavior to her husband's unit. He would be disciplined for failure to control his wife and could be discharged because of her.
always the Cali thing, California is a big area, I live in NorCal, I have guns, most of my friends do also, and if I take off driving, I am closer to Salt Lake City than I am to Los Angelos
S1 Search for a military (Major's) wife who insists the checkpoint (at entry/ exit) soldiers salute her. They say no, your husband ain't in the vehicle. She goes to a green as grass Lt in the post admin and persuades him to issue an order that cars will also be saluted as per the rank of the officer allotted the vehicle. Soon the post CO sees a funny spectacle from his window. Privates are walking around saluting EVERY car in the compound even those that are parked n empty. When one tells him about the new order, he calls the Lt in a rage. The Lt reveals who persuaded him. Both major and wife are summoned for a major tongue lashing which veterans said later was unique.
S1 What a bunch of "Caspar Milquetoasts", " namby pamby", "jelly fish", "invertebrates". Sounds like Qaren neutered all the men in the neighborhood incl her husband!
First story .... yeah a I would find out what part of the military her husband is in and let them know she's been using her husband's rank as a means for dimwitted control and get cameras 2nd story ... depend on where this family is from California yeah they never shot a gun ... unless your in los Angeles.... ( yeah I grew in the 90's an was born in 89 when gangs still had shoots outs )
And what should that bring? Her actions, specialy when he isn't there are on her not him The wife being a bitch has nothing to do with her husbands job
I have a friend who used to live out there at that point, he was glad to have an ex-military and then military connected family there, they ended up in the neighborhood that the Crips avoided following a confrontation with a group of Rangers...so, yeah, the 90s are strange there
Sometimes farting in a lift or elevator as we say in America is necessary. Like if someone is talking very loudly on their phone in the lift it's revenge to let out a big silent fart.
Im from cali. I understand being uncomfortable by gunfire near home. But thats because of the gangs and constant shootings here. Here gunfire doesn't mean some good old bois having fun. But that yet another person is dead. Id be chill about it if I knew the neighbors had a range were just chilling. But the 1st time it happened id definitely be on edge.
