Esther: The Girl Who Became Queen is a beautifully made episode and was one of my favorites as a kid
That episode definitely feels the most mature out of all of them. The soundtrack is amazing too!
I strongly disagree. The Wonderful World of Autotainment is far better in quality and entertainment value than Netflix VeggieTales.
He wasn't saying that the episode was that bad. To me, at least, it seemed like he was saying that it wasn't really a VeggieTales episode.

Esther was actually one of my favorite Veggie Tales shows
I actually really liked the song Esther sang in the Esther episode, The Battle is not Ours or whatever it’s actually called. I always found it to be quite pretty and it stuck with me throughout my entire childhood.
Does anyone remember the “Veggietales Christmas Spectacular” they made to highlight “the toy that saved Christmas” where the veggie gang is airing on “network television”, they can’t find the film to air it on time and the song Archibald did to buy them time that was just rot your teeth sweet, “Ring little bells”
I remember that. I still have the Toy That Saved Christmas DVD, and often choose to watch the VeggieTales Christmas Spectacular instead of the actual episode.
The star if Christmas is probably my favorite Christmas movie after Muppets Christmas Carol. The car ride and the heist scenes are pure comedy gold!
I only disagree with Beauty and the Beet AND Esther: The Girl Who Became Queen I LOVE those!!!

@@ChristianNutrition I would disagree with the art direction that was used in the Netflix show; I kinda wish it was used in the main series rather than in a series that doesn’t care about plot or character. I will agree, however, that Pa Grape’s design does look off.

"Mistakenly did not put" does not describe what happened to the Silly Song with Larry in God Wants Me to Forgive Them!?. Phil never thought that Silly Songs with Larry were going to be permanent so he replaced the segment with "The Forgive-o-Matic" segment, which prompted him to think "I never promised you there was going to be a Silly Song on every episode" after the amount of letters he was sent.

The star of Christmas is as perfect as VeggieTales can get and I will tell you why. The writing is far more clever and even deep then most VeggieTales episodes. The humor is more clever the most kid shows usually are. And the ending was perfectly done. They barely spoke a word but you got the right emotion from it. Plus the whole story about how they try to make a big production and ended up destroying themselves and were then forced to take a look at how they had gotten away from a basic message is very much what happened with Phil vischer in real life. Jonah pretty much bankrupted the company because they put so much into it and after that they all had to look at what they real goal in life was. Just like in the star of Christmas. Art imitates life, my friends.

It's been a while since I watched Veggietales but it was a really big part of my early childhood and only recently have I discovered that it still holds up really well and I've been on a nostalgia kick for it for the past few days. I'd say if I had to choose a favorite it would be either Josh and the Big Wall of Sheerluck Holmes and the Golden Ruler (I put two because I couldn't decide). Josh and the Big Wall is the episode I think about when I think Veggietales, it's an instant classic and has great humor, catchy songs, and does a great job at telling the original story it's going for. And Sheerluck Holmes is more of a personal preference, I really like the kinda dark opening story with Archibald and Mr. Lunt and their Mexican restaurant, the silly song is very good (that's almost always a given in early Veggietales though), and the main story has some great jokes that have me roaring in laughter every time. And not that anybody asked but my favorite silly song is also a tie between Song of the Cebu and His Cheeseburger.
The reason Larry’s voice is weird in the first two episodes is that he has a low voice based on a puppet Nawrocki portrayed when he was in bible college with Vischer.

My top 5:
1. Jonah- automatically the best. The music is full of feature-length film quality and the animation is the best it’s ever looked.
2. Ultimate Silly Song Countdown- the pirates make great hosts and mainly come back for the whole “I rigged the election” joke.
3. Toy That Saved Christmas (TV Version)- probably the best VeggieTales Christmas special. Add the additional VeggieTales Christmas Spectacular segments with Ring Little Bells and While By My Sheep along with some hilarious Network TV jokes making it an instant classic.
4. Tomato Sawyer- the Jerkyland gag is probably the funniest side plot Larry has ever gotten into, already advertising it prior to building the park (the rest of the story is nice as well)
5. LarryBoy and the Bad Apple- Probably the best LarryBoy episode, with LarryBoy actually saving the day.
Top 5 wrost:
1. Princess and the Popstar- Prince and the Pauper but make it Disney Channel.
2. Sweetpea Beauty- unfinished animation, no Bob, and probably boring when it comes to both stories.
3. Noah’s Ark- it focuses on Noah’s son instead of Noah. Not big on the Netflix designs, but they weren’t an issue.
4. Merry Larry- I found Larry to be a bit annoying in this one, nearly blowing up someone’s house. Yeah I know he’s supposed to be the
5. Veggietales in the House- I liked it back when it first cane out, but looking back……it’s probably too focused on jokes and not on the values. Also the Bacon voiced by Rob Paulsen (who also voiced Carl Wheezer and Yakko from Animaniacs) was pretty annoying.

Something about that shot irked me, and I couldn’t figure out why.
I appreciate your effort to rank all of the Veggietales episodes! While I disagree with some of your placements (Esther, the Penniless Princess, LarryBoy and the Bad Apple, it's a Wonderful life, etc.), I do think that you put a lot of work into this video. Most of the episodes that you placed at the bottom were ones that I enjoyed as a kid. Overall, thanks for the video!

In my opinion, I feel like Auto-tainment was Rushed. Personally I didn't care that they were in "the future" to me, mainly because it was somewhat of a 80's styled future parody. But also, it's doesn't properly explain "where" they are or what the intent of the setup was. The morral didn't really make much of an impact, it felt more like of an extension to the closing out line, really. And what's weirder is some outfits, dialog, and characters were cut. Jimmy Gourd, Jerry Gourd, Percy Pea, and Mr. Nezzer were in the credits, but Jimmy and Jerry didn't speak and Percy and Mr. Nezzer weren't even there.

Madame blueberry was always my favorite as a kid, probably because it had a girl as the main character and it was just so visually satisfying to my young brain. I always wanted to go to stuff mart
Best Episodes of Veggietales:
1: Rack, Shack and Benny - Some of veggietales greatest comedy, the iconic chocolate factory, and Dance of the Cucumber has the best Bob and Larry dialogue ever written.
2: Are You my Neighbor? - When I think of a 90s VeggieTales episode, this one is always first in my head. Bob and Larry returning to Junior's room is a very cool reference to the first episode, and the Hairbrush Song is the most iconic Silly Song ever made.
3: King George and the Ducky - This episode is Veggietales pushing the envelope in every sense of the word. First use of Maya Animation? check. One of the hardest bible stories to make for kids? check. Memerable Silly Song? check and check.
4: The Ballad of Little Joe - Great comedy, pacing, story-telling, and Veggietales is right on the money with their boy band parody.
5: Larry-Boy and the Bad Apple - The town of Bumblyberg feels a bigger than it did in the 90s. Amazing cinematics.
Hopefully You can come back Cristian Nutrition because Veggietales is coming back!!! Please man I need you to.

There’s a certain scene in the episode that’s been memed to death.

5. Josh And The Big Wall
It was just a funny episode. It had great songs especially The Song Of The Cebu (Really Zebu) and Keep Walking (Not to be confused with TobyMac's song). Keep Walking was also a song that when I was little whenever we had to take a long time to drive somewhere and I would get board my mom would sing Keep Walking. But parents now days sing Baby Shark, which is the most annoying song on the planet!).
4. Sumo Of The Opera
Although I didn't and don't have this episode on VHS or DVD I do remember this episode very well whenever we would borrow it from our public library. I think the Going Up segment was kind of boaring, but I do love Lutfi's personality though(Or Kalil's)in the countertop scenes. The Schoolhouse Polka Silly Song was great, along with the St. Patrick story and Sumo Of The Opera itself. And the score in Sumo Of The Opera was amazing! Well done Kurt Heinecke!
3. Rack, Shack, And Benny
It was just a funny retelling story of Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednego in a chocolate bunny factory. The songs were great like Stand! (Which is my favorite) but gentlemen, Think Of Me you have to man up when you listen to that song. And The Dance Of The Cucumber Silly Song was really great. Two thumbs up on that one Mike Nawrocki!).
2. The League Of Incredible Vegetables
That episode was awesome! It was like the Avengers, the Justice League, and The Incredibles were all combined in that episode. I loved the villain in that episode (Dr. Fluffy I think it was). The Supper Hero Silly Song was okay. It just didn't feel like a classic silly song. But the Newsboys singing The League Of Incredible Vegetables theme was super!
1. Lord Of The Beans
I love this episode. I have seen a little bit of the Lord Of The Rings movies, but I remember watching this for the very first time and it was epic. It actuality did feel like Veggietales made another movie! I'm telling you! It was hilarious and really... it was dynamic! My Baby Elf Silly Song I really didn't like because it was not that classic Larry. I did enjoy that Veggie woman yelling at him though. That was actually hillarious!
It would've been better if Veggietales would be made a Doctor Who spoof though.

I'm sorry, but putting Esther so low is blasphemy. It's a beautiful adaptation, on par with Prince of Egypt in raw quality. The music, oh man, the music! "Can't Be Trusted" is one of the scariest villain songs ever, and "The Battle Is Not Ours" was one of the first songs to make me cry. Still does.
I kinda understand most of these, though I must say I’d rank Esther a bit higher because of Mr. Lunt’s character’s song that I really like for some reason. Also, I agree Jonah is undoubtedly, objectively the best, but I’d rank The Toy that Saved Christmas much higher. It may be personal opinion, but it is my favorite Veggie Tales Christmas Episode. The Silly Song is catchy and hilarious, the opening song is also great and catchy, and the finale is AMAZING! Also it’s still funny to think Mr. Nezzer was gonna kill those three kids and then changed his mind from a Teddy Bear.

The fact that I, as an atheist, absolutely loves the first twenty/twenty five episodes of this show is just indicative of the effort and talent put into them.
"Madam Blueberry" was my favorite.
"Rumor Weed" is another.
Man, people have very diverse opinions about the which episodes are the best…and that’s a good thing.
I disagree with you on the Autotainment, Esther, Penniless Princess and other shows you complained about that are good. Here's my two cents on these:
1. Big Idea had to tone down some of the parts in Esther screening because the original story shows about killing Jewish folks including Esther's family, punishment for Bigthan, Teresh and Haman by hanging on gallows with a noose and impalement on the sharp stake which is way too much for kids to handle. It's like how Disney had to screen anything to avoid backlash and had to tone down things that are too far like they had to tone down Snow White being poisoned by removing the poison comb and suffocation from dress being too tight.
Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde story is a horror novel which Bob pointed it out in the countertop episode and Snoodle's Tale is similar to Dr. Seuss' books, give Bob some credit, will ya?
2. Autotainment predicted modern internet humor, including internet memes and you might wanna hear Junior singing "My Day" at the climax?
3. You do have some points on Easter Carol but it stayed true to some parts of the story like Ebenezer Nezzer going to the future of what would happen if he got carried away, including Edmund Gilbert (portrayed by Junior) being DEAD like how a little boy died in the actual plot in The Christmas Carol. Plus Mr. Nezzer portraying the protagonist is a new step on this case. Psst, the meaning is all about Jesus
4. Just because Sara is a kind protagonist that is female, doesn't equal Mary Sue. You left out that her father died in war and it's a bit like the story of Annie because Miss Minchin is similar to Miss Hannigan and Sara is like Annie in the way due to personality and setting/plot wise. A Little Princess is what the movie was based on and honestly, parodies aren't bad at all.
5. Most of the episodes on the low ranked list you mentioned are similar to a bit like Monty Python on some ways and the creators have explained origins or characters, plots and all that jazz in the actual behind the scenes features and all that jazz. Psst, Abe and The Amazing Promise first half is actually Bob hosting it, not Junior
Overall, you do have some points but I would recommend research before you do some claims

Abbimation yes larryboy and the fib form outerspace has a great message as well and out of your top 5 my favourites are rack shack and benny and Ester the girl who became queen. I enjoy both and could watch them over and over again

I was on board until you put Esther at #41. Way too low. It’s Mr. Lunt’s best character and has some of the best score and dramatic songs in the series

Next, Christian Nutrition should go back on the old Veggietales websites Bigideafun.com and Larryboy.com through the Wayback Machine and then tell his personal opinion on them both.

I’d honestly rather watch Beauty and the Beet (which had some genuinely sweet little moments, or love from a child’s perspective) than ‘Twas the night before Easter with the most garbage character, Petunia thinking she can make people’s lives better with a musical.... Prescott (Archibald) was the true hero of that story wanting to make a playground for the orphanage... instead getting COMPLETELY straw bossed by Petunias character... seriously...

I’d like to argue that while Esther doesn’t have a silly song in between, it does have a funny song called “Lost Puppies”.
Another argument I have with Christian Nutrition about Esther... The Girl Who Became Queen is that it's nowhere near a great episode. I guess I understand people's beef with that episode, but we feel like even though Esther... The Girl Who Became Queen isn't one of the greatest VeggieTales episodes, it actually is close to being one because it was different to be powerful with its visuals, songs, Esther's character development (thank fucking God Esther wasn't pre-Boom Amy Rose ESPECIALLY from Sonic X and Bella Swan), Classic VeggieTales humour (ex: Why wait until A. D.?) and how its story was executed instead of just for the sake of being different.
Sometimes I wish DreamWorks could talk with Phil about bring back the series. Who knows, maybe they’ll get the chance to bring the series back.
I can't actually list a top five because I'm terrible at ranking things, but I will say some of my personal favorites.
Where's God When I'm S-Scared? - This one might be my favorite of all, because I have a ton of nostalgia for it. I don't know what it is, but there's just something so special about it. The Daniel segment cracks me up every time.
Jonah: A VeggieTale's Movie - I also have a lot of nostalgia for this one. It's great, and I still quote it with my sister.
Those two are my favorites, but I love all of the classic ones too. I'm a huge Tolkien nerd so obviously Lord of the Beans is special. Sumo of the Opera also sticks out because I just adore the flannelgraph section. And I realize this is a super unpopular opinion... but I actually really like The Wonderful World of Autotainment. I thought it was funny. I don't know, maybe I'm just an infantile child, but I've liked from the first time I watched it.
I didn't see a lot of the newer ones so I can't really talk about them, but I can say for certainty that Nicholas is my least favorite of all the episodes. I hate it. Mainly for the inaccuracies in telling the story of St. Nicholas, but it's just... the worst. It's cool if you like it, but I just... I can't stand it.

Bro, don't even get me started on the Newsboys' song "Belly Of The Whale" from Jonah! It still holds up and it's a banger!
This is....a bit difficult for me to make this list. Bear in mind that I've never seen 95% of what came after The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A VeggieTales Movie so mine won't have the really bad stuff in my bottom 5. (I'm not ranking the movies as I've only seen "Pirates" once and I don't think Jonah is that great. Still GOOD, but not GREAT)

3. Josh and the Big Wall- This episode was just funny
2. Dave and the Giant Pickle- Introduced us to Larry-Boy, has two of the best songs in the whole series, and had one of the best stories
1. Rack, Shack, and Benny- This episode is why I even started watching the show. Perfect blend of story, humor, and Silly Songs. Good Morning George is my 2nd favorite song in the show (beaten by Pizza Angel)

Ballad of Little Joe (An excellent retelling of Joseph. I just like the musical more)

1. A Snoodle's Tale- Didn't grab me after Silly Song. I barely remember the main story.
Darthlucy1 For the ester the girl who became queen humor wise. There is a scene where Mr. Lunt is telling him what he should do to thank the hero who saved his life. Mr.Lunt thinking it was him tells him how he would be celebrated. But he face turns into shock when he realized it was for his nemesis. I thought that scene was hilarious.
WHY IS AN EASTER CAROL LOW ON THE LIST?!
I'm surprised Sweetpea Beauty wasn't dead last! It's easily the worst episode of the series that I've seen!

First off, rack, shack, and benny's silly song was dance of the cucumber. Josh and the big wall's silly song was CEBU, NOT DANCE OF THE CUCUMBER!
It's weird; I'm not a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, yet I consider Lord of the Beans my favorite Post-Jonah episode
My top 5 shows are princess and the pop star. Because I love the songs and it teaches me a listen to just be me and spend more time with my brother. 2 is leauge of incredible veggitables. Because its like a spinoff of larryboy. So larryboy is not the spotlight, its all of them. And I like that. 3 is minesotta one. I can't remeber which one of them is my fav. So that series is good. 4 is Esther. Because that song "the battle is not yours" it inspires me somehow. I don't know though. and my 5 fav is either veggies in space or larryboy and the bad apple. Because for space, I love the silly song and the storyline is amazing. And larryboy and the bad apple, it is different from the first 2. Because the first 2 was like the same. So I got something different and I like the songs in there too! :D
I know you're going to be busy and all of that, but could you do more reviews on Bibleman? And can you do a video where you rank all the compilations of Veggietales?
I don't care how low Sheerluck Holmes is on the ranking, the closing countertop theme is the FUNNIEST sequence that came out of VeggieTales
i only disagree with the bottom two. i will agree the the wonderful world of autotainment made no sense... but the netflix series shook the earth to its core in terror when it came out. rip childhood.
So... VeggieTales is apparently coming back. Thoughts? Will you come back to do an episode or two?

This list will be based on episodes from the Pre Jonah Era because my love for Vegietales ended with Jonah (and the Star of Christmas) and after that I outgrew VegieTales. Plus, the series went downhill after Jonah.
Bottom 5 Episodes (Pre Jonah)
5. Larryboy and the Rumor Weed (It's close to being okay. Larryboy does a little more here than in The Fib from Outer Space, but he still has little to do in the conflict).
4. God Wants me to Forgive them (This episode needs more substance than just preaching about forgiveness. Watchable. But, it needs more substance).
3. Leggo my Ego (This Larryboy episode has a good moral. But, the story overall and how the moral was excicuted is messy. The script needs another rewrite).
2. Larryboy and the Fib from Outer Space (False Advertising. More like Junior vs the Fib from Outer Space. Larryboy does literally nothing despite his name being in the title and if Larryboy doing nothing is meant to be a joke, it's not funny. It's bad writing).
#1. Esther....the Girl Who Became Queen (Talk about wasted potential. It has a relatable and great moral, yet its gone to waste in a boring and forgatable conflict, and the protagonist is wasted potential. She's relatable, but I wish it was pushed even further, I wish Esther had more personalty and character to allow us to connect with her or do morenthings that make her memorable. Plus, there is the lack of jokes, and no countertop segments to get kids attention as letters from kids allow kids to connect and relate and get them pumped to learn the lesson. What a waste of good potential).
Top 5 (Pre Jonah)
5. Dave and the Giant Pickle (It's a simple underdog story that's empowering as it is fun and a fun and empowering retelling of David and Goliath in its own unique way).
4. King George and the Ducky (It teaches a really good moral about selfishness while providing great jokes, great songs, and turning the VegieTales formula on its head).
3. Larryboy and the Angry Eyebrows (The Yodel Napper is great, too. But, The Angry Eyebrows takes the cake for taking the moral of anger and emotions and gets more creative. Plus, the moral is more relatable and realistic).
2. The End of Silliness?!? (It's a sing along video but with an engaging story and tieing in silly songs together and make them into a story that we've never seen before making it stand out not just in the series but also in sing along videos in general).
#1. Josh and the Big Wall (This is Vegietales at its best. The simple story of Joshua and the Battle of Jeraco, but gets smart with it by making it both educational about obeying God's directions but making it fun with the best jokes and the best songs. This is how you take an existing story and make it fun while paying the original story with respect along with an epic grand finalie in the climax (the scene where Jerico's walls fall down). This episode screams perfection and Vegietales at it peak).
Good to see I wasn't the only one who thought Beauty and the Beet was difficult to watch. I find any episode that stars a Mary Sue somewhat unbearable.

As someone who has never seen or read anything related to Lord of the Rings, and knows none of the characters other than Smeagle, Bilbo, Legolas, and Gandalf, Lord of the Beans is a great episode
