So sorry for your loss. My Dad is the same way- still- at 97! He LOVES line dancing! Actually my parents met at a dance, on the dance floor at Howard University. Dad cut in while Mom was dancing with someone else. They met and were married 68 years before Mom passed away.
I LOVE this song, I LOVE this dance (used to dance this too) and I LOVE your dad!! I watch this video from time to time and he's always the one I watch. Thank you SO much for sharing about your dad! It was wonderful to read (my dad was a WWII vet also) about my favorite video star. I'm so sorry for your loss but I'm very happy he lives on in this video that makes so many people happy! ❤ I'll never stop watching it. Blessings to your family.

This video is cool, really. Oh, I'm going to practice that step no doubt. All of them are so confident of their steps they're not even watchin' the others feet. Slick.
Memories of my family, Louisiana "refugees" in California. No matter what you did for a living, or what neighborhood you lived in...on Friday Nights...U wuz CREOLE! Such a shame, the cultures of Louisiana (creole, cajun..etc) are becoming as forgotten as the broken french from the region. Tryin' my best though to keep it alive!
I'm going to St. Martinville next month and I can't wait to do this dance there. I've been practicing this a long time. I cant wait to hear some good Zydeco music. God Bless!!!

Thank you to all who have enjoyed this video clip. It is one of several dances done for the taping of our now discontinued local cable TV show, "Dancing On Line". The song, "Kush, Kush" is part of a collection owned by the DJ for that night, and try as I might, I just cannot track him or the song down. Your best bet would be to do a search for the song, and download it from whatever source is available. B. K. Hart Imani Bros. Multimedia Assoc. Producer, "Dancing On Line" TV show

What I love about Zydeco is that it's truly inter-generational. You see elderly people and teenagers dancing to the same music. Very family friendly!
