The wisdom mixed with the crushing reality of his advice is pretty in character. The great thing about Yashiro is how his character (probably based mostly on reality) is this guy exhausted by life after doing years of soulless corporate work, so he always has this look on his face like he hasn't slept in days.
The animation with Gura & Ame hits especially hard if you know how familiar Ame actually is with heavy loss. There's a clip of her sharing a little bit of her life story that's super emotional and also hits the same themes about life & success that the other clip did as well. One thing you TH-cam gang peeps will never know was how hard we had to work to get him to react to the amesame animation. They put me to sleep to reset the bones and I woke up while they were doing it. The pain was so bad I passed back out, but I still remember it vividly.

Yeah, having a surgeon start cutting you before anesthesia takes full effect is a very traumatic experience... Mumei is a trooper. I was pretty introverted and timid back then and 2 army guys walked and 1 of them came up to me while I was sweeping the store and gave me an opportunity and ask for my number any I was kinda scared and refused to atleast give them my number. I still work for Walmart 6yrs later and it does have it's perks but now I'm still mostly introverted but I can handle ppl alot better but I still wonder to this day what if I took em up on their offer and didn't realize how lucky I was to get an opportunity so soon after getting my 1st job.

But, all the learning I did to become a librarian left me with just enough credentials to get into a provisional teaching position at a small private school. 4 years later, I'm working a job I legitimately get exited to go to most days, I'm about to get my full 5 year teaching certification, and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. Chase your dreams, but don't be blinded by them.
