On his Sign it began with these words - Jesus was homeless. His faith kept him alive this far. And do not worry. He is supposed to be receiving help from the Government. As long as he continues to have FAITH.

What a fine man the young police officer is. This story made me weep. No one should be homeless. We must spend more to home the unfortunate that find themselves on the streets. We can all start by donating to the homeless charities. Please help. I am elderly but I will ensure that I donate today. I am disabled but somehow I shall help, where I can, to the homeless shops. All my better jumble will go to these shops. We can all do our little bit. God Bless you all.

OK!!! There needs to be a follow up to this! Too many questions left open to this piece. Is this guy still on the streets or has someone in his REAL family stepped and given this guy a bit of a helping hand!
Yes, I would like to know this. I hope there is a follow up! 😊🩷
We need more cops like him. Such a hero!
I think his feet stink !
what an incredible story .... it is KINDNESS and we all know we can be kind
He has his answers now!!! Time to move on down life's road!!! You deserve the peace of mind!!!
This guy who helped him is a legend
Poor guy, may God continue to watch over him!
God will always watch over all of us
There's more people like that than you think. And thier all not homeless, some my be rich .
Well thank God for this young man he was a police officer he was very sensitive the kindness you showed to the man that has nothing it shows you that there are still people in this world they're full of God's kindness and love they go beyond the call I take my head off for you young man it was good to watch this video it reminds me a little bit of my story thank you for this video and thank you for posting it may God richly bless you both
I'm sure the young man's feet stunk.
Great job by the cop who started it all and got this guy reunited with his family. He will now get the financial assistance and love that he has been missing. Good luck to him and thank you very much officer for caring and going above and beyond the job requirements. You will be rewarded.
Awww. He had to go back and live in the streets? He was somebody's baby. Bless him.
God walk in mysterious ways, my eyes is full of tears.
May God Bless officer Swalwell, Jacob for helping this man. I saw this story in the news. I was crying, but soo happy he meet his family. Bless you all.✌✌✌👏👏👏
There are bad cops in America, but there are extremely good cops. God Bless this kind of people.
And than what.Shame, shame on his real Mother, what is her problem. He is Homeless , your son.Unbelievable self centered BITCH
Hats off to the Deputy for caring and getting the ball rolling. Trucking can pay well, but the loneliness being gone sometimes months at a time is tough. And only the toughest people can handle it. In his case I think truck driving readied him for living on the street. And Mick if you are reading this, I am not homeless but I am alone and have no family. I would love to meet you but if nothing else we can both know we are not all alone between the two of us!
I think this is so above and beyond wonderful human kindness!!
beautiful story beautiful people, all the people that helped down to the people that donated. Its a beautiful thing when you see compassion, empathy. Life is about beautiful people and how we interact with each other. May the Blessings Be !
Beautiful story. What a lovely officer to take the time to talk to this man and help him.
Wonderful police officer. Wonderful story.
god bless that officer what a wonderful public servant
May God bless the police officer who helped him to find his mother
and let the mother help him to live with her. .
Wonderful! This policeman is a real human being. Thank you sir.
See? See what we people CAN do, can accomplish, IF only we take that first step? May God bless everyone who was involved in helping! ♥️
ameen
Yep she really did right by her son. Nice house, 4K fish tank, but nice to see you and GTFO.

D Hoosier yes May GOD turn a blind eye one everyone else in the world with their struggles and Illness. Love how God only get accolades for the very microscopic good that happens but gets ignored when the tragic outweighs the good.. so much God love smh 🤦♂️
Some one has to say thank you Jesus for this miracle.
On his Sign it began with these words - Jesus was homeless. His faith kept him alive this far. And do not worry. He is supposed to be receiving help from the Government. So his faith and patience did not wear thin. So he is being blessed now. His questions I am sure were answered and he he is I believe no longer heavy hearted but blessed. As long as he continues to have FAITH.
no
What has Jesus got to do with this? Why did He let this happen in the first place? Makes you think doesn't it?
HANNES DE JAGER . Jesus has a lot. Do you know the Story of Job. He kept his faith too. And his reward was truly rewarding.
He looks like his mother. The Lord works in mysterious ways. This story has opened up so may people's eyes to homelessness in America. We all came from somewhere. Thanks, for this touching video 😍
Reunited then goodbye? I dont understand why not give him place to stay he was heartbroken all his life longing for a family. My heart cry’s for this man, thanks to the officer who helped him .
I've seen this guy even help him out it's good to see him off the streets and with his family good for him.
a good cop with love and now that men has a family
As an adopted person this hits me right in the ticket. Much love , Mick!!
Hei all is well... hope you're fine, grateful, and the best in you life. God bless you, you should try like Mick if you didn't meet your bio parents yet ❤️👊
Glory be to God for such kindness 🙏 from people. God bless you who were involved to bring this man together with his family ❤️.
More blessings to this kind hearted officer.
Iam extremely grateful that nick found his biological mother after all of these years a piece of both of their hearts were put back together I hope that nick and his mom have many more lives left to live yet while it is not possible to go back in time we can always make up for the time that was lost
Wonderful story, never judge folks by their looks.
poor lady imagine not being able to afford being able to take care of your kid, takes a huge heart to give away your child knowing he will have a better life than you can provide. props unlike those parents who abandon them.
She let him go to be homeless again?! What a loving family, it would have been better not to know about them 😡
His mom offered to let him stay but he wanted to go back to Oakland.
Hmm thanks for the info Ron Gee this is more confusing now! If it was me I would have stayed until I got back on my feet and then I go back.
God bless him wherever he is.
I had the same thought! Let's hope things get better for this man.
The brothers or sisters couldn't make on his honor a simple .99 cent. cake mix, the police officer had to order a pizza and salad, Sir you are better stablishing a relationship with your friend the young police officer.

When you have lived on the streets for that long it is hard to adjust to society's standards by living in a house again...
There's so many different emotions of you don't feel worthy of being in a house, trusting people when you have been alone for so long all kinds of things...
Going back to the streets is a lot easier even though we don't see it that way...
HOMELESS ONES TOUCH THE CORE OF MY LOVING SOUL .
You ate one of the far and few between.
Wow, how amazing is that .why can't they all be like that officer?
what a wonderful man thank u
Jacob the Deputy and the private investigators are two kind, loving, gentle men. They changed not only the life of a lonely homeless man but changed the lives of his mother and so many others....Thank you Jacob and investigator for bringing this family together just in time for the holydays...
God bless the deputy who found him🙏
What a wonderful series of events.. which lead to this dear man's reunion with his mum and other family members. God bless those who made it happen. What a wonderfully uplifting story. Thankyou so much for sharing.
Amazing story. Thank you to this Sheriff Deputy for helping this homeless man reunite with his birth mother and extended family :-)
Bless the Cop and P.I. for what they did for this homeless man. Very touching story.
So the mom abandoned him again? If it was my son he wouldn't have left.
She offered. He wanted to go back.
She’s 2 for 2
Ryan Sammons I didn’t hear an offer???
right??
@@phish1145 To what?
Wow. Such a gift of humanity. The kindness of strangers.
😢🙏 I'm so happy he found his family.. God bless him and his family always
This needs to go viral. Wow this is the case more times than not. Thank you kind officer.
Very emotional story with a good ending. Hats off to the deputy that started a "conversation" and all his hard work with getting him ID. Also hats off to the private investigator for his time and persistence.
Bless that woman for bringing him to term and adopting him and welcoming him into her home and new family. Bless that man for persevering all the hard blows in life, he's a survivor.
Why did they leave him homeless?
Why did *who* "leave" him homeless?
His adoptive family?
Perhaps you weren't listening to the part of the video that quite fully explained this part.
His adopted siblings never bonded or liked him with him, and after his adopted parents died they rejected him.
Where is the man today? I hope he moved to Humboldt county and has his own apartment, or is caring for his mother together with his siblings.
What a beautiful story! Praying for this gentleman’s healed heart and continued sustenance.
I’m so happy he met his biological mother. That young Deputy & PI are one of a kind, I’m still a Metro cop after 35 years, and truly never thought about doing anything like that. From start of shift to end of shift, we’re always attempting to keep up with stacked calls on the MDT (computer), that’s not an excuse, but at least they’re good people who exist with phenomenal intentions to help their fellow brothers & sisters, God Speed to this gentleman who now has a family & I feel this story can help public servants exponentially to try and help out, before issuing sanctions, or jail time.
This gave me goosebumps! God bless the deputy, P.I and him and his family! I hope he moved close by his family.
Ya I'm just wondering why mom didn't let him stay there Knowing he's living out in the streets
I think he's hoping to stay in your spare bedroom.
Chéryl Greene, Iam wondering too???
His adopted Parent took him In but it seam all they gave him was a roof over his head and a little food. His adopted family didnt show him much love. His mother could hav tried to find him. What an amazing officer..sometime people just got to stop and listen .some people have life Ruff.He look older than his mom Poor man .l hope He is okay now.
It’s amazing they took the time to help this gentleman. It makes me happy that there is still good people out there! :)
good job officer!! you must come from a great family.. remember do not let the bad job experiences we deal with change you.. i fight every day and refuse to turn in to some asshole with firearm.
That was really nice of those people helping the homeless man
God bless the Officer and all those that made this happen. Beautiful Story !!
It really touched me, I can't stop crying!!
May the almighty God ever bless the officer and all the people who worked hard this to come true.
When the mom said "My son!", that made me cry so much.
Me, too. 😭
The police officer is a remarkable man. May God bless you always!
