Scream Tail is the Jigglypuff of our wildest dreams. It has been buffed with some higher statistics and the incredible ability, Protosynthesis. Gen 9 Competitive Pokemon wouldn't be the same without this powerful pink blob. He kinda looks like someone I met in one of my game design and development courses.
Gen 9 Pokemon Showdown is one of the greatest online gaming sites in history. From Pikachu and Charizard, to Palafin and Roaring Moon, The new Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, have introduced a lot of new faces. Can I succeed in one of the best android games of all time? If so, I'm gonna get myself a Walmart bakery Pokemon cake to celebrate.
Gholdengo is a Pokemon made of pure gold. He must have done some online business management courses to accumulate all that wealth. Or perhaps he might want to learn how to make money playing video games on TH-cam. In any case, he's a powerful metagame force, with absolutely no interest in online game development schools.

It was odd that he didn't acknowledge the 3 mash misses game 1 though, could've been a hype commentary moment. And I had to laugh when he explained that Jirachi has hidden power fighting, then immediately proceeds to question if it has hidden power grass for Swampert haha

Wow I LOVE the whole interplay between Spikes, Rapid Spin, and spinblocking. It's such a cool dynamic that is now lost because of Stealth Rock and Defog. Spikes are far more balanced as a hazard. I'm now a Gen 3 believer.

Also Jimothy- all these guest casters have been fantastic. I think it would be really cool if we could have 2 of them commentating together. Have a play-by-play and colour guy like the do in sports? It would also help fill in the dead air when players aren't clicking moves fast enough.

Jimothy himself said that the commentary would be similar to that seen in the Smash Bros. scene, and there it's customary for each match to have two commentators at once.
After all, two heads are better than one!
Hiding agility on metagross was amazing only to get screwed by the 10% miss chance.
There's not enough action to warrant 2 guys they'd just talk over each other.
Two commentators talking over each other or getting engaged discussing a minor point and missing/delaying reaction to an important development happens all the time in fighting games. But then again, a lot of people enjoy it anyway.
I would say for Pokemon, one commentator is usually fine, though two could be good in longer matches with a significant amount of stall.
Having two is mainly a benefit for things like metroidvania randomizer races where there is a certain amount of somewhat predictable downtime where you can fit in longer discussions between two people without them losing track of what is going on.
Every time Mash misses I think "this bs is why they upped the accuracy in gen 4"
Back when knock off was actually a utility move and not just a move you can spam with almost no drawback.

It really makes me think of Jimothy's video comparing gen 3 to melee. Like in smash ultimate moves seem more spammable and have less of a drawback than they did back in melee

@@JumbaJumby that's true but nowadays most of the cast has spammable projectiles or their aerials are just extremely safe on shield. I still like ultimate but these elements imo add to the comparison of newer smash to newer gens of pokemon where knock off along with other moves are safe to spam freely

Phenomenal commentary! All the guests have been spot on and their love of the format really shows in the vids. Can't wait to watch more of these tournament vids.
While the crit is very unfortunate, it was definitely a good move for udm to make there, 30% miss, 50/50 on a speed tie (could've been bulky/not timid) and then the 60% para thus essentially assuring a dead moltres anyway and given how vulnerable to moltres said team was, definitely the right call.
hope you bring LRXC1 back on as a commentator more! Love his positivity and fun energy he emits ^^

Nice to see some nicknames. I think the nickname meta is super underdeveloped for pokemon. You could give them nicknames that imply a certain set, and then surprise them with a different set, or double bluff because they actually do have the set.
Or get in your opponent's head by nicknaming an ugly pokemon "your mom."
