  • Another leg of my previous flight with Captain Ed Mijares, we continue on this incredible helicopter ride from Laguna to Manila aboard his Bell 505 Jet Ranger X.
The journey offered breathtaking views of the picturesque landscapes of the Province of Rizal. As we soared over the town of Santa Maria, I marveled at the Nuestra Señora de la Annunciata Parish Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest churches in the Philippines, with its rich history and intricate architecture. The scenic route also provided a glimpse of the Rizal Wind Farm, a significant renewable energy facility located in Pililla, Rizal, which offers a spectacular view of the rolling hills of the Sierra Madre mountain range.
As we approached the bustling cities of Pasig and Makati, the city skyline and bustling urban life below left me in awe. The helicopter ride was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that allowed me to appreciate the beauty of the Philippines from a whole new perspective. Captain Ed's expertise and the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X's smooth ride made the journey even more enjoyable, making it an unforgettable adventure that I will treasure for a lifetime.

Now that you mentioned it… there are no wipers on this 505. The down wash from the blades plus our forward motion cleared the wind shield as soon we were airborne. Thanks for the comment.
