    Same process for 2022 montage?

The process is identical, but there is no new firmware for the classic Montage at this point. 3.5.1 is the newest release.

If you’re not on 3.5, you’re missing all the good stuff!

Did they fix it to have a true initialize state to turn off kbd crtl.? I have problems with using midi. Loved your video, you have a new sub here.!!

Thanks! To my knowledge, there are no changes to keyboard control. Could you describe the problem you’re having?

@@KierDarby tracks 1-8 was connected with the kbd ctrl by default which made it hard to use the other mid chsi. If I play midi notes on midi ch 1 on the drum machine, when switching to midi ch 2 the montage would play what ch 1 midi was doing instead of playing its own midi until I turn off kbd ctrl.

unlike the roland fantom, it have a true initialize state when using multi midi chs. each ch is separate from each other.

@@KierDarby From the looks of it, look like they did fix that with the kbd ctrl. I just updated the Montage.

@@hardbody_beazy I must confess I’m struggling to understand the setup you’re describing.
Let’s first of all establish that MIDI channel 1 is the default MIDI I/O channel for Montage M, and all parts with keyboard control will respond to incoming MIDI on that channel. If you want a part to respond to (and transmit on) a different channel, it would have to have keyboard control disabled - this is part of the Montage M design.
So, you say that you have a drum machine transmitting on MIDI channel 1 - this would trigger all the keyboard control enabled parts unless you have changed the system level MIDI I/O channel, right?
Then you mention switching to MIDI channel 2 - do you mean the drum machine, or the Montage global MIDI I/O channel, or the tx/rx number attached to an individual part?

Did they fix the split issue?

No, this is a very minor update with no significant feature additions or changes.

Saludos maestro!!

At this point there are no software solutions available to manage libraries as the Melas software did for the classic Montage and MODX, but here's hoping for an update in the near future, as Yamaha don't seem to be making any noises about providing first-party tool for that purpose.
