    The best thing about kali Is that it’s mad fun to do! You’re right once you know the basics it’s yours! You can create your own style of doing the strikes and develop fluidity extremely quickly. Furthermore once you get good at Sinawali your ability to do the 52 will explode! Again I’m almost sorry the world knows about these two hearts because for a long time I felt they were my secret weapon! So I have mixed feelings about them being demonstrated LOL! I know it’s selfish that is how I feel! You have an excellent channel

    Why is there Kali, Escrima, and Arnis, are those just different names for the same thing, are they names of different forms or katas in the martial art, are they names of different styles, types or forms of martial arts in the Philippines, or are they different names from the different places they were created in

    • @KaliKombat
      @KaliKombat  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      they are from different locations with different teachers same concepts and techniques lil different flavor if that makes any sense .. there’s a lot of styles from Filipino martial Arts because it’s composed of islands - Kali Kombat - Kombatan

    • @staefvonrundstedt8028
      @staefvonrundstedt8028 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The word Arnis is related to the Spanish word arnés which comes from the archaic Gothic/Gaulish (Spain/Portugal/Old France) word arian "of Aries" meaning martial.

      @KaliKombat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@staefvonrundstedt8028 and Kali from Indian goddess Kali .. then Spain invaded so many of the terms are in Spanish in this video I mentioned abaniko technique came from the Spanish word fan ... 💯👊👊

    I’m sorry I’m doing a lot of posting here because FMA my favorite art. I find that the Filipino martial arts unlike Japanese karate and Chinese kung fu is not a drudgery to do. Karate feels like work it’s hard-core you sweat and it hurts. Kung fu requires a lot of concentration and precision to get the forms right it’s physically demandingAs well. But Filipino martial arts you can dance you can move freely you can freestyle I don’t see any other art outside of boxing way you can do that
