Cool little jig!!! I like these smaller jigs that enable loads of stuff, only so much room in the workshop and can't be doing with a huge stack of awkward lumpy plywood sheets taking up space!
Heads up for anyone thinking about buying a Rage 5s- Check out table saws sold with the Excel badge! They do one with all the features of the Evolution, but much cheaper. Just got one & the only real difference I have found is that instead of having a clamp for the right hand extension it has thumb-screws front and back. Edit: There is also a thumb-screw in place of a clamp for the blade angle adjustment, and the blade bore size is 30mm, which is either a positive or a negative depending on your point of view. Your videos are really useful Tomasz, thanks!
Great demonstration! Thank you for this clear and helpful info. Its probably already been said, but I have to comment on the fact that this video is showing a SLIDING cross cut sled being used ON TOP OF a SLIDING TABLE that does almost the same thing. The differences and similarities of those two methods is worth at least minute or two of discussion.
I really need to make one or these. My only sled is a monster and very cumbersome. Now I have a project for this weekend. Great stuff Tomasz. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
Well, it took me far too many goes at getting the strip the right width (and parallel) but I stuck with it and now have my first sled. Thanks for the videos and inspiration :)
I've added this to my "things to build list". Where do you get your T track from? Any specific make, codes, and dimensions? There are so many T track options, it's a bit bewildering. I'm in the UK. Thanks in advance.
Hi, glad that you like this little project. To be honest I buy them on Banggood when I see a good offer. I then buy few meters as I do use a lot of them for jigs etc. My favourite t-track dimensions are 19mm wide x 9mm thick they are small and will fit in most materials.
Hi Tomasz, This is the jig I’ve waiting for without realising it. Many thanks and congrats on your ingenuity. I, too, have the same table saw as you. So handy to be able to fold it up and roll it out as required in my limited garage space.
This looks like it'll be perfect for a beginner like myself. I have seen so many other sleds on TH-cam which look rather intimidating for noobs such as myself and this looks manageable, multifunctional and awesome to boot. Great job as always.
Another simple but effective jig, smaller is better sometimes ... excellent 👍 ... I'd suggest using double sided tape (or CA glue) instead of glue, instant bond and can then be screwed on as you have done.
hi on my evolution rage 5S, my left and right runners are not the same weith. so i can't switch into left and right side of the saw. did you do something to have the same weith?

True but not everyone has got a saw with a sliding carriage plus the sled offers far more capability and options.
Great versatile sled. Keeps fingers well out of the way and small enough to easily store in a small shed. Great work 👍
Thank you kindly

Hehe my main sled is also a big monster hence I was avoiding it 😅 now it all seems to be much easier 😁

Great idea putting some T tracks in the table saw sled. I might make one of those it's got great potential as you've shown. Very handy indeed. Tony
Thank you mate. Yes they give s lot of options that I still need to think off 🤔 😁👍
👍 Thanks a lot. Perfect first TSS for my tiny shop. And I even got all the components! 👍
Great to hear 👍😁

Glad you liked my little project
Just in time Tomasz, I was going to make a large sled, but this little piece of magic should serve my needs. Nice one!
Hehe well my big sled was gathering dust for a while now as its big and heavy I couldn't be asked to use it. With this no such problem 👍😁
I will definitely do the same! Thanks
Thank you for watching

For sure it's simple to make and it will serve you well
Very nice! The perfect sled for a small shop.
I think so too!
Nice useful making...

Great simple project that does the job, low tech thats what its all about….
Exactly 👍
Perfecto!
Yet another fantastic idea, I'll be giving one of these a go for sure, thanks Tomasz.
Glad to hear it and good luck with your build

Exactly, and that tip reminded me of the simple solutions that sometimes are the hardest to come by 😂
