Since this is so, unfortunately the video guide is completely irrelevant, because, even if on a new version of CentOS everything is put without additional manipulations, for a beginner it is almost impossible, I will be very grateful, as I am sure many others, if you can update the information under CentOS 9 or any other system. Anyway Thank a LOT of your Work.
I recorded a video showing how to setup the VPS on centOS9. I am taking a different approach, and using Hercules instead of rAthena, but the setup is similar. Please take a look if you want to: th-cam.com/video/i9H4XbN1QKo/w-d-xo.html
You are welcome, I'm glad this video still helpful, even there is no more centos 7 in vultr. I'm planning to either do next tutorial on Debian or Ubuntu. Time will tell. Best of luck!
@@daniel_druziki I have a docker-compose I use to test my Ubuntu locally and I deployed it on DigitalOcean for 6$/month VPS (there’s a need to add some ~1GB as SWAP if you get this 1GB RAM VPS, as rarhena sometimes need more memory to compile)
I get to the same part as you got before the "pause" in the end, where it says "connection failed" to socket #8 por 5121. How did you solve that? Thanks
Hi, join my discord server will be easier to explain, but basically in client side has clientinfo or sclientinfo.yml depending on the emulator base, however in this file will be added your host IP in this case VPS in Vultr. Than with that they can login, if you don't want to use website in conf folder there is a option to set _m _f registration. Is very complex to explain RO stuff. Wish you good luck!
Thank you! I have used 2022 also tested on 2018 ragexe, both pre-re old emulator .txt base and latest emulator .yml based both worked well here. check if you using sclientinfo.xml or clientinfo.xml
I know that Vultr changed the way to pick some options, however it still there I believe, I'm going to double check today. My server is actually hosted on the same way I showed in this tutorial. Enter my discord group. We will try to help you out.
I have sent a message to Vultr team, I will see rather they have or no this option, I checked and only seen CentOS9 Stream x64. I will update here once I get any news, coz to make the server must be on Centos 7 or Debian or Ubuntu, but for now I only know how to open server on Centos 7. Feel free to join the discord dev group, link in description.

I never had this issue, you probably didn't open your ports correctly. Also depends on your emulator setup maybe different port usage.
One of the best tutorials out there on the internet. Thanks.
🤩 Thanks iko25 🙏
top+++ working super fine!! the best
I'm happy you made it!
Thank you Daniel! Do you know how do i share my client with my friends? What they need to do to download and play on my server?

Hi bro, great job! managed to make server side. But i cant connect with my current client. Which one did you use?
Thank you! I have used 2022 also tested on 2018 ragexe, both pre-re old emulator .txt base and latest emulator .yml based both worked well here. check if you using sclientinfo.xml or clientinfo.xml
Could you link me a client? Cause I got mine from anacondaq that is used for offline.
Could you link me the same client you used here? Cause the one that I have came from a pack that was set to be used for offline.

what VPS host can you suggest? is OVH good?
either vultr or ovh, I just never tried to setup on ovh, however is well known in RO community and should be about the same.
