      My pleasure. I like to try to show as best I can what these things can do and what their limits are. Pretty impressive Little machines I think. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.

      That’s why I do these videos. To demonstrate what this equipment is capable of. You don’t have to play in sand or do soil prep. It’s very capable. This 6015B has the weight to put down behind the power so it’s even more capable!

    Hi my friend . For such firm ground you need a rock bucket. The bucket that is now on the excavator for large amounts of light soil.

    Thanks for the cool video. I'm doing research before I buy my first rc excavator. What are some of the poor workmanship things that you mentioned?

    • @digitrc
      @digitrc  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The thing leaks real bad so poor plumbing and poor quality materials. Many screws are stripped out. This metal used is real hard to tap but that’s no excuse. This machine cab was not the best detail and some details like handles on the doors not there at all. I went with a cheaper model and well… I am still happy with it overall. The crawler system is the best I’ve encountered on track a system so far that I have experience with. It has thrown track a couple times but it’s on a steep slope when it happens and that’s over a hundred pounds so.. it’s pretty easy to get the track reset too. I got my 4200xl and had to spend over 350 bucks before I was satisfied with the track system on it. So this machine has some pros. I like the weight! It makes it more useful having that weight behind the power. And it still has enough power that it will pull itself around so it’s a real good balance.

    That is impressive! The weight of the machine really helps. My 360l would've been dragging itself towards the hole.
    I want to ask for advice on my 360l rc4wd. There's a lot of slop in my slew and the slew motor is hard to do micro movements if you barely move the stick otherwise it's full on. I don't know if it's a junk esc or can I adjust it with the radio. And I think the slop in the gear is either poor mesh or there may be play in the motor itself.
    It's still new so I don't really want to take it apart yet till I know more. It has the same radio as your 4200. What do you think?

    • @digitrc
      @digitrc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The slop is likely mechanical outside the motor. Could be as simple as a loose set screw in the pinion gear, mine on the 4200 comes loose all the time. I also had slop because of the mesh on the gears being too loose and I went from 12t to 13t and that fixed it. As far as the turning control you could try putting in expo on the radio and flatten the curve or depending on the esc it might need to be recalibrated for learning the channels full stick movement. How that is done depends on which esc you have.
      To fix the slop you will have to be wrenching on the machine. 😁😁 keep me posted on what you find and what your fixes are. If you want to brain storm or have questions, I love to help.

    Could one tether an external battery or a power supply unit to give longer running time.

    • @digitrc
      @digitrc  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is so much room in this machine you could easily parallel two batteries in this thing to extend your run time. In fact I have two of those 10,000Mah batteries to do just that.

    Thats just a big excavator every time I see it on your trailer WOW! How are your trailer axles holding up? bent at all? Nervous as heck when you back up that short wood ramp to the shelf. Im afraid its going to slip off the shelf and then as your excavator falls the tail end will slam the shelf. Your left side track frame it has a stainless steel hex bolt about to fall out ;-)

    • @digitrc
      @digitrc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You noticed the loose bolts too? Big surprise! I just pushed it back in place for this shoot. Too busy fixing hydraulic hoses. 😂😂😂 I do like it though. It’s Hugh and pretty powerful! No problem with the trailer axles yet. But it’s at it’s limits for sure. That board is just a piece with the latch and it secures to the shelf so it doesn’t slide. I’m making better ramps for it.
