I'm an older student (60 years young) enrolled in the BFA in Illustration at Paier College. They purchased a building at the University of Bridgeport Campus. In my research I believe you taught at UB for a time. I think that's incredible! My first paper is based on "Time to Save". Audrey, you inspire me beyond what I can describe here. I will say I was in awe when I saw your painting at the Yale Art Gallery in New Haven! Thank you for all you have done and continue to do in the art world, you are a rare gem! If I ever got the chance to meet you, that would be incredible! Thank you Audrey!
Loved this interview. I was one of Audrey's apprentice in the mid 70s Learned about how to live an artful life. Miss being around her creative energy. Barbara Hageman Sarvis
The Audrey Flank sculpture is my favorite art in Knoxville. Thank you so much for this interview. I work with young children with Autism, and their mothers, to lift them up. Wings ❤
I have always thought that part of being an Artist meant that it gave you a licence to uptalk and embellish the outpouring of a persons pain or happiness.
I truly enjoyed this wonderful conversation between two life long friends. All the best to both of you and thanks for your words of wisdom!
