I was born and raised in Radford, Southwest Virginia, but my grandmother was from the Shenandoah Valley. She told me that what we refer to as Bigfoot today was called the "Wood Booger" when she was a kid. It was not some legend or myth to them but a real, live, flesh, and blood creature. They just accepted its presence and treated it with respect. No big deal according to her.

Born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley. There are places I go through often--the Fort Valley area, specifically--where you can absolutely imagine a squatch hiding away for years and never being discovered. Super cool seeing my neck of the woods getting some attention.

That’s where my entire family had encounters and still has encounters. There have been several times we’ve sat listened to them screaming and going on. We’ve actually sat on our back porch and listened to them.
First time I heard of them, my grandpa warned me and my brothers about them when we were just very small children. Of course, he didn’t call them Sasquatch or Bigfoot. There were no TV’s when he was a child and in fact, I never heard it called that until I was about 13 and like so many others that was the Patterson film and I still didn’t make the connection. It wouldn’t be until I was an adult that my brothers and I began putting it together. Then, about 15 years ago my brother, who was hunting in one of the mountains behind our home was chased by one. Sure scared him and he doesn’t scare easily. After that, I began researching Bigfoot and for the first time recognized the sounds we had heard through the years and began recalling that we had actually seen signs of their activities when we played in the woods as kids. We often saw strange structures, trees out of place etc., but we didn’t give a lot of thought about it. Now, I get shivers just thinking about how close we may have been to them. My brother says he occasionally sees signs of their presence, but he tries to avoid intruding upon their neck of the woods. The experience he had taught him that he didn’t want another. I had my own experience as a young woman. It terrified me and I’ve never been able to go back into the forest. Actually, my home is surrounded by forest and I’m very careful when I’m in my yard and I watch my children very carefully.
I also had an encounter with a werewolf. As afraid as I am of Bigfoot, the werewolf absolutely terrifies me. I was with my husband when we saw that monstrosity and I know had we not been in our car, it would surely have killed us and taken great pleasure in it. I know Bigfoot is intelligent and I believe the werewolf the werewolf is also, but I believe the werewolf is a killing machine.

We lived in Winchester, Virginia then moved to Hardy county West Virginia. Back in Michigan now but oooohhh GOD do I miss the Shenandoah Valley ...... Terribly!!! I live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, and it’s no surprise to me that people see things around here…I grew up in the mountains as you drive up to Todd Lake…some days in the broad daylight you can sit in your car at one of the pull-offs, and you won’t see or hear any wildlife….very spooky! You get those reports when a Sasquatch or Dogman is close by. It’s too quiet for a National Forest! 😮

People are worried they will be perceived as crazy or 'on drugs' family and friends can be quite cruel, laugh it off, be dismissive.
This is why people are not so forthcoming with sharing their experiences.

Just north of you guys, firm believer in Bigfoot. I’ve had 2 experiences one in early summer of 16, the other July this yr. The first was a personal encounter in a natl park. The other a vocalization just like the Ohio howl, heard twice a minute or so apart. And from different distances and directions, my girlfriend heard it as well. Glad to see that there are others here close by that know the truth!

I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley right down the road from Orkney Springs in the small community of Basye. Some of the old timers used to speak of encountering them when they’d be out hunting. Had a friend of mine tell me also that their mom had seen one cross the road one night as she was driving through the New Market Gap area. Wouldn’t surprise me if they did live in the Shenandoah Valley, as a kid I used to look up at the mountains and wonder what could be hiding up there.

Him being paralleled by foot steps reminds me of a story my cousin tells. Similar story. He got down out of his tree stand after dark and started walking back to his truck. He eventually started hearing what he thought were foot steps walking behind him. He stopped to get a better listen and the steps would stop. He'd take another step or two and there'd be two more steps. This carried on and he's starting to get really spooked causing him to pick up the pace. Predictably, the faster he walked the faster the steps. He'd stop and they'd stop. He almost sprinted the last 100 yards to his truck. He jumps in and tries to close the door and it's like something wouldn't let him close the door all the way. He's almost near panicked as he keeps trying to open the door just enough to get a little momentum to overcome the resistance. Sometime in the middle of his struggle he looks down at the bottom of the door and there's his climbing rope stuck in the door. It had fell out of his pocket, strung out a ways, then started dragging behind him. Dude thought he was a goner and it was his safety climbing rope😂🤣😅

They won’t leave bananas because they’re not native to the area, but they’ll leave toys and peanut butter ?! Since when are toys and peanuts native to the woods? If Bigfoot can reason as to why you leave a toy, don’t you think they can figure out how to eat a banana? 🙄

I am happy to have found this video! I live in Richmond and have had 2 BF experiences in VA (not visual). One was near Sherando Lake in Augusta Co. and one was near Kerr Dam at the NC state line. Two guys have told me their experiences in Dinwiddie and Prince George counties. BF is everywhere in VA and the USA!
Your group could start a library for members. There are many great books out there on BF, including David Paulite's 2 books about investigating the Hoopa Indian Reservation in northern CA. But, a very important book on BF DNA is "Truth Denied" by the late Scott Carpenter. He details the QA/QC on the sampling techniques and lab procedures that determined BF DNA with over 100 completed analyses. I am also a scientist (managed groundwater sampling down to the parts per billion) and the highest standards were used for the determination. I do not know why the study is not common knowledge, but it was accurate.

I saw Boggy Creek and it scared the 💩💩💩 out of me. Little did I know 5 years later we had our encounter, and I didn't even think Boggy Creek. Had several other strange things happen while working on Line Boats on the Tennessee River and Ohio and Upper and Lower Mississippi River. Had underground boring equipment knocked off trailers along with Mini's pushed in the ditch. That happened in Conway SC. The whole equipment situation couldn't be explained, we chalked it up to kids and mischief. Personally, no it wasn't.

What a great upload, I really enjoyed it! Excited for the rest of this series. I LOVE the drone footage so much! I appreciate the dedication & seriousness of these types of groups, but also that they’re genuine friends who care about each other & are having fun.
The folks working at the university in North Carolina is the best chance the subject has at producing the kinds of acceptable evidence that will appeal to a larger portion of the scientific community. It’s woo-less, and I appreciate that.
They’re doing a large study, not merely examining a few pieces of evidence. It’s not a single person or small group-it’s dozens of unrelated educated individuals working for the love of their chosen subject -science. No unknown agendas nor profit-driven entities. And the best researchers out there have sent in some samples. It’s so exciting & I can’t barely wait for publication!

@seanwhitman799 the Small Town Monster crew are whats known as "APERS". They believe Sasquatch is nothing more than an undiscovered Ape. Jeff Meldrum is an "APER".

Unfortunately the music is too loud. and the voices only come from the right ear cup (headset). Unfortunately, this is the case with some videos. Since English is not my native language and I am convinced that the small town monster is happy that foreign fans also visit their channel, I hope that the videos may be revised again. it would be acoustically more pleasant. Otherwise, of course, you did a great job. keep it up! Greetings

Many indigenous groups have oral traditions passed down through many many centuries of "Sasquatch" living and coexisting amongst their tribes. Gigantopithecus, an ape/human looking hominid, are certainly still coexisting with every other living creature on planet earth. Elusively intelligent, they continue to survive without being captured by humans. They're phenomenal at delegating who they allow to see them, and who they do not.

I’m from the Ohio valley/Wheeling area & Haven’t really seen anything here myself. My finance and I heard a big ass knock and tree branches breaking down back behind our house one night & That was sketchy.
We have the same rolling hills though & Every year we go to st Pete’s FL where we have a family beach house. When we’re ready to get home after driving 17 hours ,the rolling hills are always the first sign I’m home 💙💛

I had multiple encounters in Shenandoah national park and in Shenandoah county around North mountain. I talked about some of them on Sasquatch Theory channel. Where I grew up in Rappahannock county in the Blue ridge they were called wild people and mountain devils.

There are many accounts of people accidentally surprising Sasquatch near running water or when they're doing something with their hands that requires maintaining visual focus.

Feed bigfoot some preshelled walnuts.pecans and sunflower seeds.autumn is closing in so take them whole pumpkins so they can eat those seeds too.u can ask around for vegetables and fruit that is too ripe or too much rot for us but fine for their stomachs. As for items.i would like to know what they would do with a toy truck,.a book with pictures and a mirror but not one made of glass but that other reflective stuff.i hope u like my ideas and u will try them.HAPPY SASQUATCHING!

I was screamed at twice in the Shenandoah National Park on an east slope of the Blue Ridge trout stream,
Fishing up a section that had several falls and was noisy O guess I walked up on it, the first scream was an attempt to get my attention and when I kept coming it let out a roaring scream that shut up the cicadas and everything else for 20 minutes
I sat behind a fallen log and watched but didn’t see anything
A Raven like call came from up on the mountain above me and a few seconds later an answer that was similar from just out of sight downstream below me, there were two
    I will never forget that

Fascinating film. I especially enjoy the variety of equipment outlined. It all makes sense. Just one observation for you: it would be better, I think, to feature one person’s story in its entirety then move on to the next one. If you do it in rotating bits, like you did, it’s sometimes hard to put a person’s story all together. I look forward to hearing about Darby Olcutt’s conclusions.
