The first order I received from Amazon was just Endless Punishment, instead of all 4, so I contacted Amazon and got my replacement. I opened my replacement Amazon box to see a Wizards of the Coast sealed box and got excited - I opened the Wizard's box and got 4 Death Toll decks.
I pre-ordered the 4 deck bundle and made sure to choose sold & fulfilled by Amazon. I had 2 separate times I was sent only one deck. First time it was only the jump scare deck, spent over 2 hours on live chat with Amazon to get a replacement shipped. Second time only the death toll deck, spent another 2 hours trying to get a replacement again. I just wanted to get what I purchased. Only offered a refund this time. So now here I am with nothing and if I still want the decks I now how to spend at least $45 more to buy it. I will never pre-order anything from Amazon again after this. Both their fulfillment and customer service were awful.
I stick with TCGplayer sellers that have at least 10K confirmed sales and never have a problem. Supporting your LGS is great but they have to make a profit too and can't afford to sell for below cost. When the same commander precon after release is $28-$30 but the LGS still prices them all at $50 regardless of demand it's hard to support them.
Yeah, that's a problem with the LGS I go to, where they overprice things. Want to buy the occasional box but it's at least $20 more than market price - even the employees admitted it when another player at commander night brought it up that "unfortunately, we don't set the prices, that's above us." And this was before "PLaY bOoStErs" with Draft Boxes. Though I did get a X-mas overstock sale box of New Capenna for $60 a few years ago.
The individual decks have the same UPC code and Target sells them all for $49.99 each, despite the fact that one deck is worth $80 and the rest are worth $30-$40 each.
Happened to me too. Got just one deck. Filed for a return though and got the right one. I do this every set. I preorder the decks as soon as they come out so I can get them at the lowest price they hit. This is the first time I have had this problem.
This happened to me with CMM. someone bought a bunch of the 4-packs from amazon, took out the eldrazi, slivers, and enchantments decks and returned them all with Planeswalker party only in them. They should not be able to sell them as 4-packs with broken stop tape.
All Duskmourn commander decks have the exact same SKU so when the system process’ your order, it can’t tell the difference between them and just grabs the next one from the slot The robots are efficient but not always through

I have never seen commander decks at the various LGS in my area. They'll only order them for you if you buy a complete set for $400. Never seemed worth it for that kind of money to me.
First and foremost, this starts with with the wizards of the coast. I’m not sure if this is already in the comments, but everyone of the new commander decks has the same UPC code so when you ring them up at Amazon or anywhere else online every single deck has the exact same UPC code, so there’s no way to distinguish between them.
I ordered the Valgavoth deck months ago for $39 and it still hasn't shipped out. Now it's been scalped on amazon for $130.... My Aminato deck came in fine though.
I preordered the set as normal. But I see that they are out of stock in many places now. I think people need to realise that if they want commander decks they need to get them when the set is coming out, because they dont seem to be reprinting them and with new decks coming out every few months, they are forgotten about easily for the new hotness.
It happened to me. I was supposed to get endless punishment and was sent jump scare. I am getting a refund but it was a waste of time and now i have to overpay for the deck i wanted.
I don’t know how many times we have to hear about Amazon Scams before people start to learn to stop buying from them at this point I don’t feel sorry for anyone who got scammed
i got scammed by amazon i pre ordered the duskmourn commander deck set and they sent me one. To make matters worse they said they couldn't send me the other 3 decks and all i could do was ship the one back and hope i get a full refund.
I very rarely buy any Magic products on Amazon. Our LGS is so much cheaper in price than Amazon. Thank you for the video Mox Man. RAMBLE JAMBLE.....ramble jamble.
I dabble in selling cards on ebay. I dont ship outside of the US anymore. Its always a "I didn't get my card scam". It's either that or Brazil is a black hole that exclusively absorbs TCG Cards.
Amazon is not to blame and especially not their employees who are watched like a hawk with horrible working conditions we have all heard the stories. It's the 3rd party sellers who are to blame Amazon has no control over those products they literally just store 3rd party products that are already sealed or they are used as a "store front" and you might get your package from the 3rd party. I have a friend who does this exact thing only with clothes and I have a former friend who is a scalper through and through.
The issue is that WoTC listed them with the same SKU. Literally all of them are exactly the same when the order comes through. It has nothing to do with getting ripped off and everything to do with a failure of WoTC.
You can still get problems though. I bought the endless punishment precon from a local game store and it was missing the deck box and collector's sampler. Contemplating weather I want to buy another one just to get a deck box.
As much as I want to order from Amazon. I don't think I can do it for MTG. Even ordering from a reputable seller scares me with things going through the mail. I'd so much rather pick it up myself and know everything is there and it's what I want.
Not to defend Amazon, because they certainly screw up plenty, but in this case the problem is WoTC/Hasbro - they used the same UPC code on multiple commander decks.
For those of you not in the loop, WoTC pushed this set out so fast that they missed quality control on a lot of things with it. This isn't a scam, all 4 variations of the Duskmorn commander decks have the same UPC/SKU. That's why they're showing up randomly from retailers like Amazon, Gamestop, etc. They don't know enough that these are supposed to be 4 separate UPCs so they just scan and ship what's in front of them.
I opened a booster box, a bundle and a pre release kit and the amount of cards that had dents in the corner baffled me. Honestly something that should be corrected. Still playable with friends but if I want to compete at my lgs, they will get denied. In comparison, out of all the bloom burrow I opened, I might have had one damaged card.
Report amazona nd the seller to the BBB and if the saler says it was sealed and happened in shipping then report it to the USPIS. First one will investigate there sale practices the second one solves mail crime and even the pinkertons are afraid of them.
Is it though? Depends and what you’re ordering. 1 issue every 6 months that takes 20 minutes to fix vs saving $700-800 over 6 months. I’m good but my time ain’t $35/minute
I get my precons from Amazon and it's always the cheapest I can find. I always get what I order. Maybe I just have good luck. I even got a free galaxy 20 because they refunded my money and it still showed up. My friend got a free expensive vacuum cleaner like that too. That definitely suggests they have issues.

It happened to me. I was supposed to get endless punishment and was sent jump scare. I am getting a refund but it was a waste of time and now i have to overpay for the deck i wanted.
Never get returned magic product. People take all the money cards and return the box.
I don’t know how many times we have to hear about Amazon Scams before people start to learn to stop buying from them at this point I don’t feel sorry for anyone who got scammed
Been ordering from Amazon since 2019 and have had zero issues. Of course I have a strict policy of only buying sold and shipped/fulfilled by Amazon.
I ordered a bundle and only for a single deck
i got scammed by amazon i pre ordered the duskmourn commander deck set and they sent me one. To make matters worse they said they couldn't send me the other 3 decks and all i could do was ship the one back and hope i get a full refund.
I preordered endless punishment and received jump scare, was so mad
I pre-ordered endless punishment, and it still hasn't even been shipped...
@@nexisfire I hope you get the right precon at least!
Boomstick 💥
I've been seeing a lot of this happening lately seems like it's cyclical.
Sketch level max.
Boomstick 💢
Stomping grounds, 130 bucks easy Peezy every time no trouble
Lol I avoid Amazon like the plague when magic is involved. Heck i got the 4 precons from my local game store for cheaper than Amazon
You can still get problems though. I bought the endless punishment precon from a local game store and it was missing the deck box and collector's sampler. Contemplating weather I want to buy another one just to get a deck box.
@@aznsbdjust contact Wizards for missing parts as long as you still have the packaging
@@aznsbd good luck finding another one they are sold out everywhere for normal price
As much as I want to order from Amazon. I don't think I can do it for MTG. Even ordering from a reputable seller scares me with things going through the mail. I'd so much rather pick it up myself and know everything is there and it's what I want.
I ordered the 4 decks on Amazon and never received them. A nightmare to get your money back as well. Boycotting Amazon, fool me once and never again.
Not to defend Amazon, because they certainly screw up plenty, but in this case the problem is WoTC/Hasbro - they used the same UPC code on multiple commander decks.
When a giga corp starts dumping TCG product they have no clue about.
Everything got muddled when Hasbro brought out wizards!
That's my opinion tho,
Ps. Wizards slow the f up on the set releases
I ordered the rakdos deck they send me jump scare
Not a scam, just WotC incompetence. Look at my comment above. All 4 commander decks have the same UPC.
Amazon returns are actually decent.
Support your LGS instead of Amazon. Hearing all the scammers on Amazon and people still take the bait. Buy smart buy S mart
I would avoid Amazon no matter how good the deal is your time is worth more.
Is it though? Depends and what you’re ordering. 1 issue every 6 months that takes 20 minutes to fix vs saving $700-800 over 6 months. I’m good but my time ain’t $35/minute
Scamazon?
Boomstick!!!
People keep on getting ripped off buying from MTG and Papa Hasbro.
Happened to me I got one of the 4 then 3 days to get refunded waste hate Amazon
I'm still gonna ask for a discount.
