My F150's pump was good but the steering box was leaking really bad. My biggest issue was getting the pitman arm off! I had to take it to a front end alignment shop so they could use their air tolls and puller!
very helpful video. have never done this before. My son has a '91 F150 and his PS pump leaks like a sieve. Will I have to change the gear too or just the pump itself? Either way, I have to at least change out whichever part has the resevoir. I have to give credit to where you added labels when you called out part names. I can figure most things out but having those labels helped. Thanks for the video...which I will likely reference again.
The power steering pump is what has the reservoir, I have a video going up tomorrow that details how to tear apart that power steering pump! If you're doing just the reservoir, you should be able to just remove the outlet fitting/flow control valve/Spring (they all sit in the same hole) and remove the reservoir without having to remove the pulley and bracket. Glad I could help!
Nice. Thanks, mister! This was quite helpful.
