Small world - My folks actually live nearby I've been there loads of times as a child amazing beach. I'll give the park run a go next time I'm visiting them! Thanks
Thanks for letting me know about this! Might bring out my competitive side lol. I haven't trained specifically for 5k for a couple years as I've been doing sprinting - was close to 17 min before then... By the way stability seems pretty decent and it's a good quality video 👍 And of course congrats on the good time and first place :)
Chris PT Thanks mate, I tried to keep it full 1080 when I downloaded it & uploaded it. The time was a pleasant surprise as I've been doing ultra marathons that tend to slow me down!
Great run! Congrats. How do you know where to go when you're on course and not miss a turn? I see some course volunteers, but a bunch of turns without anyone. The parkruns near me don't have many people, and I don't know the courses, but I like to run fast.
It's usually marked out pretty clearly. You can also grab the gpx file from the website and quickly upload that through the Garmin create course page (there's a tiny import gpx link when creating a new route) and within minutes you can have it on your Garmin (if you use Garmin of course :) ( Stick your Garmin on the map page and you'll see exactly where to go as you run just in case the course isn't obvious on the day.
Stop clearing your nose so much, goddam how much snot to do have! Never in my years of running did I have to expel so much fluid, In fact I usually never do it and I run 18's.
The first minute of footage is stunning...seeing all the runners diverge then converge onto the trail!! Great race my friend!
Lol everyone going off thinking they are 15 minute runners.
Lol
Classic parkrun!! Usually first timers and tourists lol. Just means more victims for the taking as they all drop behind one by one
Such a beautiful course.
What a beautiful park run.
I'm from Holland, but this one is going to be on my to do list.
Nice parkrun, want to try this one someday.
Have those runners at the front heard of the concept of negative splits.
durianrider you’re assum8ng the guy with the camera didn’t start a bit slow!
nope!
durianrider I could never do negative splits for a 5k, have to do positive ones
durianrider the legend himself
Incredible running. Great breathing technique too.
excellent techniques!
This makes me feel better, I thought I was the only one who sounded like I was going to konk out. Great running.
Nice course. Thanks for doing this. Looks like a normal sort of parkrun - but on ultra fast forward.
Well done, enjoyed that especially how you picked off the runners one by one. I'm a lot slower that that but I see the breathing doesn’t get easier!
Thanks. Started steadier than usual actually, don't enjoy getting caught behind everyone!
at my parkrun people dont usually go out to fast they seem to pace themselves well
Hi again lol 😂
@@itzgeorge8771 lol
C Powell oh hey wasn’t expecting to see you here lol
Hilarious all them kids at the start going off like its a 100m sprint, i bet they burnt out pretty quick 😂😂
Brilliant, well done!
I was so excited to see this 'pop up' thought is was now. Still nice
My best is only 25, nice job and congrats on 1st
My best is 22nd
No marshal at 4:30 forking really hurts my feelings
Excellent running!
Awesome job mate, those leaders scampered off pretty quick! Well done!
That was a good run thank you for sharing.
I can just about run that pace for a km so well done keeping it up for 5 👍
Must be one of the nicest Park run routes I've seen
Should come to Newborough parkrun!
@@osianperrin7511 is that Newborough in Anglesey?
@@beady123 yeah, I may be biased as I live on Anglesey tho haha.

Nice course! *googles to find out where killerton is*
How do you run it that fast, how. Would love to run it that fast, to slow I am.
We all would love to run faster :-) ....speed is only relative :-)

Well done😀
Where are all the marshals
At my parkrun there are about 100
volunteers telling people where to go and organising it
Mostly on this route you can't get it wrong!
Bruh, there are no marshals at my parkrun
Overkill.
Great running 👌
Why are there no marshals?
Hi! Nice video. How did you mount the GoPro here? It’s really good and stable considering your speed.
Steve Gardner It was just on a head / helmet strap & I think I stabilized it afterwards on the PC. Could have been a lot worse!
maybe the new GoPro 7 would be more stable now?
Great run. Where the fook are all the marshals for a convoluted course like that 😮
i thought that too!
No marshals at mine
Beast 1728 with that hill
Nice vid
I have now caught Coronavirus after watching this 😫 😂😂 well done good running mate there’s me trying to get my time down to 20 mins 🤮

Good cadence - around 170. Very snotty 😆
My best parkrun is only 22😂
Same
You don't have that much snot come on.
Stop clearing your nose so much, goddam how much snot to do have! Never in my years of running did I have to expel so much fluid, In fact I usually never do it and I run 18's.
You must be able to run sub 15 on a flat
My best is just over 16, always been happier off road and with hills!
Smashed it
Horse against humans smh
