I love the section where you spoke of your sons' pushback question and how you imagine that you would have felt. (Approx. 20 minutes in.) I've never thought of this topic and was blessed by it.
I'm thinking now that those parents would have felt bad about what they did. Of course, we know they decided to go in to the land afterward which was still a sign of how clueless they were. But some of those parents decided to repent and then knew that the best thing they could do for their children would have been to train THEM in the way that THEY should have walked. Some of them must have had 20/20 hindsight and did right by their children.
God had them build a tabernacle and they all began receiving teaching. Some of those children were old enough to see what had happened and so on Shabbat or in their Torah studies, they were able to learn enough to help them to continue the lineage of "heroes of the faith" that we learn from in our scriptures even today. There has always been a remnant, right? And what a remnant it was!

I love that census chart! I never thought of doing the math! "How often is the pause button hit while we get our act together?" Thank you for putting 2 + 2 together for us so we can apply His Word to our lives. 😇 Such a good message!
