I have the Roland JUNO DS 61, can anybody tell me what the difference is of them?! I have patterns and beats which sound pretty cool once I change them with my RC505. Thanks for any insights.

The microKorg and that series are based off the MS2000 synth engine. R3 is based off the Radias synth engine, which came after the MS2000 by about 6 years I think. So technically superior, but I can't speak to the ergonomics of everyday use.
Canal BetterGames if it compares to the Microkorg XL, which it probably does you'll want around 1 up to 2A at 9V. I use a (oddly enough) a PlayStation2 PSU brick. Works like a charm.
Pity the R3 can’t run on batteries … if it did, it would slay (also , 2.1 speakers like the new MicroKorg S … ). Why can’t they put FS keys (aftertouch?!), 8 voices, both older engines(!!), battery power (least important, if can power from some type of external power pack), USB, internal speakers (also less important), motion/sequencer & arp, 12-band vocoder, all in one package … it would be THE beginner/portable synth …

I OWN A MICRON!! LOVE THAT LITTLE BOOGER!!! It has some incredible Moog leads, it has a Jupiter bass that sounds INCREDIBLE!! Juno keys, great strings & pads, bought it for $200 and it AIN'T GOING NOWHERE!!!
Such a wonderful piece. It gives me inspiration to create something along those lines. Thank you for the nudge to get going again creating music.

If you need a cheap Korg synth with RADIAS engine, get THIS not the Microkorg XL+

I don't have it, but these are generally available sounds. Just remember they are difficult to MIDI sync. Only live recording...

yes, I hear now that you can hear the noise .... I no longer Korg R3 so I can not tell where it comes from this noise ......

The r3 and mini nova combo kills it for me ,the micro is still awesome might pic one up .

korgr3 engine is better than microk and you can feel the difference
