The world is suffering from "girlboss" fatigue.
The MCU was, truly, a universal unification with men, women, and children from all cultures and all walks of life. They were not just events. They were GLOBAL events. It meant that as you sat in your theater, hundreds of millions of others from around the world were also taking their seats. You enjoyed the experience together. When Cap caught Mjolnir, everyone in my theater stood up and screamed. I even grabbed the guy next to me, a complete stranger, and embraced him as we watched that moment.
That's what they freaking took from us, and I hate them for it.
Exactly everytime a marvel movie came out me and friend had to go see it in theaters asap now we don't even bother going to the theaters period because everything that comes out today isn't worth going to see.

Strong women in movies and TV can work - Buffy, Xena Warrior Princess, Sidney Bristow (Alias). You just need some damn good writers who focus on the story and plot, and not driving home messages. It’s absolute bullshit and exhaustive and is permeating in all forms of media.
One of my favorite female characters is Jessica Pearson from suits. She’s a true strong female character because she’s not just breezing over everything but she earned her power and her presence feels intimidating and also they showed her vulnerable side many times.

I remember going to see The Avengers with a couple buddies when I was 16. There were six girls from my school in the row in front of me having a night out. I didn't think much of it because I wasn't as deep into film at the time. Looking back however, it's genuinly nice that they were raving about it and not on their phones at all. If you make good movies people will show up.

It seems that marvel/disney would rather have no fans, then to be wrong. Frankly Deadpool was a great movie because it was produced and made by a fan of the character. You cannot make something great if you don't respect the source material. The Marvel cinematic universe is now more like a extremely high budget bad fanfiction. If the source material for a media production is not used for such then it is a parody. It is not giving respect to the character, franchise, etc... it is a bad parody.

If marvel were making female lead superhero’s back in the mcus prime 10 years ago, like a black widow movie in phase 1 or he’ll even if they introduced she hulk back in phase 1 they would’ve been adapted faithfully and well and not had any of this agenda garbage pushed into it, because back then in the early 2010s they were still making great movies or at least focusing on the filmmaking rather then look we have woman! Anything past 2019 captain marvel was a point of no return for female characters in Hollywood and how they have been handled, I doubt most fans would’ve been against a Gamora/Nebela prequel series or a scarlet witch movie a while back, cause those are well written and deserved characters worthy of a project, but those days have come and gone
