Question Jay... Can you do a video and break down the benefits versus rewards of sailing older ships vs new. For example, would someone may get more bang for the buck on an older ship (window cabin, upgrades) if they spend the same amount on a new ship and get stuck with an interior cabin. Or, an old ship may have fewer resturants, but better quality food ? You see where I'm going? Thanks for your thoughts.
You are the only person who can make an empty ship look cool. This is the perfect ship to take if you want to be away from people during the pandemic. A love the crew! Thanks for the highlights for those of us who aren’t fond of the long live streams. 😀
This ship is an absolute time capsule. If I was the owner, I'd do 70s theme cruises and capitalize on the nostalgia. They can't compete with the bigger lines but they could carve out their own niche. Nice tour -- you are your usual friendly self with the crew.
Good video Jay. You’re entertainer skills came out in the video. You’re a natural for tv or even a movie. I’ve been on the Classica three times way before this pandemic and it definitely had a a different vibe back then. This pandemic is killing the cruise industry and that is so sad. Looking forward to the second part of the video.
You keep saying it is an older ship making it sound like a negative. I really like the looks of this ship, it actually looks like a ship! Many new ships look more like nightmarish collections of as much sensory stimulation as the brain can handle.
I think it's awesome that you did this. The ship is way nicer than I expected it to be and looks like it could be a lot of fun for a quick cruise after capacity gets back to normal.
It does show its age but looks like it is nice and clean and kept up. Not bad for 30 year old ship. Much nicer than the Celebration. I just saw it will be going to Louisiana as a hotel for the workers.Great video!!
I live 15 mins from the ship and is always a great weekend getaway. The food is great and when full has a great vibe. Where else can you go for a couple of days for there prices. Is it a great ship for longer trips no but it's great for a weekend getaway. Been on this ship a dozen times and have never been disappointed. January 21st for 10 days on the Equinox, can't wait for that one.
Looks like a perfect cruise for introverts….I know because I am one. Sign my shy ass up! J, fun video as I really enjoyed it and I can’t wait for the next one!
In reality you had less people on board on than I had on Independence of the Seas last week. We were only carrying 1200 (25%) on a 160,000 ton ship. The Grand Classica is only 53,000 tons! It’s a crazy feeling to have a huge ship all to your self❤️👍🚢⚓️
Thank you so much for this tour! I am pleasantly surprised with the appearance of this ship! Thirty+ years ago I did an overnight cruise to the Bahamas and it was a fun experience, but the vessel was more like a ferry. We had the opportunity to not book a cabin but we did, just so we had a chance to clean up and change to party into the night. It was the size of a closet.😊. This vlog has made me aware of the potential to take a quick, inexpensive, getaway on the ocean, when we will be in Florida in May! (No major cruise lines fit into our schedule!) J you did a fabulous job! Lois
Enjoying the tour. We were supposed to take the first Margaritaville at Sea cruise on this ship in 3 weeks, but just found out today they’ve canceled the first 7 cruises!
They announced yesterday that Bahamas Paradise is going to take a little break from cruising. They're sending the ship to Louisiana to house utility workers working on power restoration after the hurricane.
Thanks so much, it’s still a beautiful ship, I’m way older than she is. I can safely send my neighbors down and it’s clear the very best thing is the crew will take great care of them. 💚💚💚.
I Would LOVE to be on the Bahamas Paradise Classica SHIP for A First Time Cruise , Love the fact that it's not packed with People a Luxurious SHIP ..... Thank You for helping Me decide which SHIP I Will Sail once theHarassment ENDS with the mythical new sicknessSTORY IT WILL BE EPIC and GREAT to have the Bahamas Paradise Classica CRUISE...
We sailed on this lines now-departed sister ship, the Celebration, and had a great time. The crew was very friendly and the entertainment was surprisingly good.
Blue's clues !!! Thanks for sharing - fascinating cruise - like going back in time. Would love to try another classic for a few days. Those small crowds are just so unusual. My 1st cruise was on The Big Red Boat (built in 1965!) in 1991 - these remind me of the QM in long beach that was probably ahead of her time (1936!)
I loved this ship and sailing with only 150 people would be a dream come true for me. Though I couldn't do it alone but with a a spouse and or some friends, man oh man, I would have loved that. Great video. Love the classic ship.
Hey Justin, very nice ship. It's amazing that they actually cruised with such low numbers. It does take some if the energy away, but I like the ship itself, but I am 64, and began my cruising on Royal Caribbean's Song of America in 1996. A ship which my sister sailed on its launch in 1981. Held 1,500 passengers, which we loved.
Really enjoyed this. I’m glad someoen decided to take the cruise line and show us what it is like. I’ve always wondered. Cruise bloggers should diversify there channels like This. Just seeing the big 3 gets redundant. Thanks jay
Thanks for the vid. I wouldnt mind going on an older ship actualy after seeing this vid. MIght be more fun for a traveler like me. Cool . thanks for the tour and the headsup.
Good thing you have us to hang with!!! Well not good fun with an empty ship 🥲 Thanks for your tour, Jay. I did not like the ship though, I found it depressing. But having the pool all to myself would lift my spirits for sure👍❤️
Enjoyed your video of the ship. Despite the age of this ship it looked very clean. The layout is different but I kind of like it. I kept waiting for Captain Stuben or Gopher to pass by!
There's a huge sale for this ship now. Ocean view room for 2 with the bar package included for $419!!!!!!! 2 nights and a stop in grand Bahama island! We're gonna buy some tickets for early next year. Very excited. Hopefully it's more packed. Very good review, love your personality and character. New sub!
Ha. You look like you were the first passenger on the ship. Those crew look so happy to see you. Dancing and welcoming. Love it. I see that pure white Hennessy. 👀. Doesn’t surprise me 150 ppl on the ship. It looks empty. Wine tasting. Yummy 🍷. All the passengers were on deck. Blues clues. Yessss. Think there’s more crew than passengers. It’s a smidge creepy. Well enjoy. Look forward to the next video. Hopefully there will be a few things to do.
Hmm….interesting. Looks like this would be a nice little getaway with friends for a weekend. The ship is old but does look nice and clean, your cabin seems much larger then current cabins on newer ships. Might like to try this ship, looking forward to more of your videos on this ship.
Thanks for the tour. I was excited to see the the fish sculpture in front of the blue glass modern sculpture in the lobby. I have been on Bahamas Celebration and Grand Celebration. They seem to move these sculptures from ship to ship. I was hoping it hadn’t got lost to the scrap yard.
I went on the Celebration and had a great time. I was going to sail the one you are on before the pandemic. I will be on the Classica in the coming months.
Good thing you went then, ship is on charter to help New Orleans for at least 60 days. They had to cancel their sailings , since 150 passengers doesnt cut it.
Looks like a fun ship for a quick getaway. Really wish they would've picked up the Inspiration from Carnival. Relatively similar size ship but much better layout. Not a big fan of the way the casino looks and, with it being non-smoking, it'll be a no-go for me for now. Really enjoyed the tour.
I was curious about this ship. As a Floridian could be just a quick getaway. The crew is fantastic, but I like a bit more luxury. I believe you quoted $350 for 2 nights. That’s kind of high. I just spent under $100 a night on the Horizon. Thanks for making the video.
It's a nice-looking, older vessel. I hate the floating Walmart megaships and would never take one of those madhouses. I'd save up for a repositioning cruise on a civilized ocean liner like the Queen Mary 2. If I were already in Palm Beach and they had a cheap terrace suite for a quiet mid-week trip, I'd take a mini-vacation and stay on the ship. Relaxing in the Jacuzzi tub and on the balcony sound good. Forget trashy Freeport.
Hi Jay. When you first went on board the ship I was wondering "where are all the people"? But with only 150 aboard it would look empty. And through out the ship it still looks empty Lol!! Maybe this is a "practice cruise, Lol!! Also it looks like a hotel Lol!! Yes, I remember Blues Clues- my daughter used to watch it all the time. Lol

@@calenedgar3722 Yes. I have full video on that coming out after my Cruises. Currently on board the MSC MERAVIGLIA

The FACT that the Bahamas Paradise Classica is 30 Years Old Means It Is A TRUSTWORTHY Workhorse Of a SHIP
This ship is an absolute time capsule. If I was the owner, I'd do 70s theme cruises and capitalize on the nostalgia. They can't compete with the bigger lines but they could carve out their own niche. Nice tour -- you are your usual friendly self with the crew.
Its Margaritaville cruise line now
Good video Jay. You’re entertainer skills came out in the video. You’re a natural for tv or even a movie. It’s not negative but people do naturally like the older ships due to what they offer.
Nice vlog, Captain and crew look amazing. Under the circumstances and lack of people great to see it slowly getting back... thanks!
I think it's awesome that you did this. The ship is way nicer than I expected it to be and looks like it could be a lot of fun for a quick cruise after capacity gets back to normal.

Thank you so much for sharing! Seems so relaxing for a 3-day vacation!
Best cruise introduction ever. Your a good entertainer. Keep it up.
It's a good thing you're there to inspire people to ENJOY!
‘You know you’re getting serious when the robes come out’ 🤣🤣🤣

I know right. Extremely introverted
Exactly! Looks awesome!
My shy ass is getting on it today. Last voyage
I like the crew Energy the girl that was dancing at the beginning 👍👍❤️😎
Despite age, not a bad ship. Reminds me of the old Carnival Mardi Gras. Thanks for sharing.
Great video. Always been curious about this CruiseLine. Can’t wait to see more!
Good video babe ❤️ and good job with the wine tasting 👀 next time I will be there !
PS: I WILL BEAT YOU AT JENGA !
You taught me well😅 And you’re going to loose!!!💯

Independence is 154,000 Tons

J you did a fabulous job! Lois
See that's exactly why I said we need a squad, so we can make the fun where ever we cruise.
Yes I remember Blue from Blue Clues. The ladies are all over you Jay be careful. Ha ha ha. Nice having a whole ship to yourself.
My nephew loved blues clues!!! Looks like a vintage adventure!!!
I will say that your vlogs paint the cruise line in a much better light than many things I'd read about them over the years.
Wows thank you!
Great Video! The ship looks very pretty!
Thank you for showing the ship
Enjoyed this!
Enjoying the tour. We were supposed to take the first Margaritaville at Sea cruise on this ship in 3 weeks, but just found out today they’ve canceled the first 7 cruises!
" I should start running" lmfaooo my brother! I herd that
They announced yesterday that Bahamas Paradise is going to take a little break from cruising. They're sending the ship to Louisiana to house utility workers working on power restoration after the hurricane.
It’s nice of them. They’ve done it before. Plus that charter will probably make them more money than sailing with 150 guests
Thanks so much, it’s still a beautiful ship, I’m way older than she is. I can safely send my neighbors down and it’s clear the very best thing is the crew will take great care of them. 💚💚💚.
Looking forward to the kitchen tour video!!
Thanks for the tour. Definitely make the best of what's available.
To give you a added perspective your on a ship that's slightly bigger than the Titanic with 150 people on board.
Wow. Excellent update

We sailed on this lines now-departed sister ship, the Celebration, and had a great time. The crew was very friendly and the entertainment was surprisingly good.
Looking forward for the next episode for the same ship I was on in 1995!
Thanks for the video!! We just boarded the ship and will be departing in couple hours. Got great info from your video
It looks good for its age, but this is just the beginning of cruising and hopefully in time more and more people will take cruises. Enjoy
Blue's clues !!! Thanks for sharing - fascinating cruise - like going back in time. Would love to try another classic for a few days. Those small crowds are just so unusual. I love how quiet the ship is. I’m going on it’s last voyage tomorrow - hope it is just as quiet
Looking to be on this ship maybe this year if not early next year. Thanks for the informative video Jay.
Thanks for the tour!
For a older ship it was nice. Jay you do a good job. Hope to meet you on one of these cruises soon. You are clearly enjoying life. Nice.
watching this video made me feel like it was from the movie the "shining" .....
My man was getting DOWN during your wine testing experience 🎤 🎶
Thank You Jay. Always fun!

I might book this line as a pre cruise to the Mardi Gras to extend my vacation.
I like this more than the carnival you went on its more simplistic very nice for 30 years old.
Really enjoyed this. I’m glad someoen decided to take the cruise line and show us what it is like. I’ve always wondered. Cruise bloggers should diversify there channels like This. Just seeing the big 3 gets redundant. Thanks jay
Parodeejay cruise vloggers took a Bahama Paradise cruise just before the shutdown. Its documented in their channel
Really enjoyed this video, I’ve always been curious about this cruise line. The crew seem amazing!
I enjoyed your video. I would like the empty ship for a chill weekend getaway.
It's a great video Jay. Been watching all your vids (from Africa) and I like that you are always keeping it real and funny. Merci beaucoup!
Yeah, strange without so many people!!!
Thanks for the ship tour. It’s always nice to see how they designed for future planning.
Good Vidio Think it be great for a weekend getaway for myself and a Lady friend since she never has cruise
Such a beautiful ship.
Thanks for the vid. I wouldnt mind going on an older ship actualy after seeing this vid. MIght be more fun for a traveler like me. Cool . thanks for the tour and the headsup.
We were on the Seabourn Odyssey. At its lowest point we only had 80 aboard and the crew to passenger ratio was 3+ to one.
Honestly J, you are so funny! And how did all those crew members know you? Great video!!
They all watched my channel!
Surprisingly nice ship and the crew seem to be fun. Enjoy your exclusive cruise J. That low passenger count will likely never happen again!!
New sub!
I’ll take a private cruise ship voyage. Seems pretty awesome.
“There’s nothing better than wine I can’t pronounce the name of” hilarious 😂 lol I bet🤣
Looks like a good value cruise. How can they be making any money with such a low passenger count?
They probably didn't, they'll need to wait until they get more passagers
Great vlog man! Atleast the staff are friendly
Another great video I look foward too many more king jay👍
Ha. You look like you were the first passenger on the ship. Those crew look so happy to see you. Dancing and welcoming. Love it. I see that pure white Hennessy. 👀. Well enjoy. Look forward to the next video. Hopefully there will be a few things to do.
Hi J. Enjoy!
I think you should go back when they are back to at least 50% capacity. Chuckle...you tube interrupted your ad with one of their ads!
I plan too very soon! And I know. I sent an email to them
Hmm….interesting. Looks like this would be a nice little getaway with friends for a weekend. The ship is old but does look nice and clean, your cabin seems much larger then current cabins on newer ships. Might like to try this ship, looking forward to more of your videos on this ship.
hi sweetheart for that to be a older ship it looks really well kept up!
Look at all your little animals friends!
Lol, wish my sister and I were hanging out. We love to meet new people.
Good thing you went then, ship is on charter to help New Orleans for at least 60 days. They had to cancel their sailings , since 150 passengers doesnt cut it.

Nice and old fashioned!
When did you make this trip? Tony says the ship is headed for New Orleans to be used to house rebuilding/clean-up crew. Good tour of the ship. Thanks.
I was curious about this ship. As a Floridian could be just a quick getaway. The crew is fantastic, but I like a bit more luxury. I believe you quoted $350 for 2 nights. That’s kind of high. I just spent under $100 a night on the Horizon. Thanks for making the video.
Gettin' serious when the robe comes out .lol
And YES always show the room

Great Video J! The Grand Classica is an older ship, but she still looks great!
Lol
Nooo they did not give that lil tv
I like the set up even though there isn't a whole bunch of people on board
I'll the scatter brain video it works for me
Kinda look like the Disney ships your friend vloggers were recently on.
I've been to casinos in Michigan that have been smaller than that casino! Not bad at all...
New to this channel. I truly enjoyed all your videos you are handsome and entertaining.
Commenting to help J. ✌🏼❤️
You’re the best!!!
You started to look a lil tipsy round the eyes toward the middle Jay! Too funny!
That’s because I was! Lol
looks good, but sound was missing from most sections.
