    The slow mo shots show the cavitation in the upper water column caused by faster moving water inside inlet vs slower outside. All said, solid captain. Found following sea and rode with crest. Didn't panic when seas rose ahead of bow and kept on plane when dropped into lower seas.

    Not smart IMO...
    Things could/would have gone Very Badly for his friends if the would have hit a gust wrong or lost control... irresponsible piloting of the drone.

    • @KCadbyRacing
      @KCadbyRacing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you think was irresponsible about this flight? Knowing the conditions, limitations of the craft and when/where NOT to fly is flying very responsibly...
      This wasn't done with a FPV/Race drone that can "very easily" lose control, this drone has GPS, Compass and Altimeter stabilization that will literally "not allow it to get out of control" IE it will not roll, loop or even tilt more than a few degrees in any direction. So between that and the wind conditions here were "nowhere near the limit of this drone's capabilities" = this was very safe and 100% in control at all times...

    The guy in the MUCH larger boat just burned 5 gallons of fuel , like he was proving something to the 15 year old kids in the skiff.
    A good Skiff like the Carolina is a killer boat and can handle some rough water very well. They can also pull right up to a sandy beach with no problem. I see people with big boats that really only know how to turn the key and what a steering wheel does.

    • @KCadbyRacing
      @KCadbyRacing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It amazes me how much HP is bolted onto the back of some of the larger boats now and the GPH burned is staggering, needing to carry hundreds of gallons of gas vs one little fuel tank on a small boat...

  • @sh1237
    @sh1237 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Not crazy at all ... a capable helmsman and a capable hull. It looks to be either a Hobie Power Skiff (HPS), or an example from one of the companies that later bought the molds and went into production. The HPS was designed by Phil Edwards as a beach-launch rescue boat for the California surf. I don't know for sure that it's an HPS or variant thereof, but there's a TH-cam video about the original HPS: th-cam.com/video/tWrzxOVrahw/w-d-xo.html I own a '86 HPS Fisherman and have run it through nasty slop in Long Island Sound, burying the bow on more than one occasion. The boat is very light and pops right out of the water, while the over-sized scuppers drain the inner hull in just a few seconds. KCadby, we forgive your for being a sensationalist... what kind of boat is it?

    If you think this is crazy, you've obviously never been on the ocean. Of course, no need for the "little computer kid" to waste perfectly good air, lol. I like how you think wave hopping to keep from submarining (which can seriously injure/kill passengers) is bad even though your profile picture indicates you like to SKILLFULLY drag race bikes on one wheel when they are built with two. Lots of things can go wrong too when popping wheelies at a high speed and hard asphalt under you; not, at this speed, semi-soft water. I bet you also think cruise ship captains are crazy when they encounter rough weather since it's their job to keep the paying passengers safe. Point made?

    • @KCadbyRacing
      @KCadbyRacing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I am very skillfull at drag racing bikes AND making it home safely from the Bahamas in a 24ft boat with 12Ft waves that at times were only 30ft appart.
      It got so ruff on that trip that it took both of us to throttle and stear (and we took one over the stearn rather than submarine) but guess what, I have been called crazy for doing those things and it didn’t bother me...
      Just because I didn’t name the video or say he’s skillful doesn’t mean I don’t think/know he is.
      It’s JMO that he was crazy (irresponsible) for risking the girls safety (without at least making her put her freakin drink down and HOLD ON) but the video probably would’t have over 110K views if I called it Irresponsible Skiff Driver would it 😁

      Marshall.........You really are a liberal MORON......ya know that? For your information, ALL shallow rivers & inlets NATURALLY pick up & carry SEDIMENTS that when seeing it meeting and/or mixing with clear blue/green ocean water, appears to be "dirty". WINDS & CURRENTS ALMOST ALWAYS STIR UP THE BOTTOM IN SHALLOW WATER under 12 feet deep. After a few days of calm winds, the water becomes crystal clear again. This entire estuary/river/lagoon is TEAMING with life. WORLD CLASS FISHING FOR DOZENS OF SPECIES IN THIS VERY RIVER/LAGOON. I KNOW, because I've been living here since 1969. If man never stepped foot in Florida, that water would look the exact same way at certain times. You should see it after a powerful HURRICANE comes through. It looks as muddy as the Mississippi river. Get a clue & do something about that thorough BRAINWASHING you have received. And if you don't like mankind in Florida......THEN LEAD BY EXAMPLE: GET THE HELL OUT. AND STAY OUT.
